Reading Plan Layout still a problem

I have a plan to read the letters of John in the NA27 in six months. That gives me about a paragraph a day. But when I click on the day's reading I don't want the Passsage Guide to open. I want a custom layout that includes an English translation and the Linguistic Guide. But there doesn't seem to be any way though this is a feature regularly requested.

I'm not sure I understand your problem. If you create a custom layout and open that layout the Passage Guide shouldn't come into play at all. It opens only if you specifically request it or simply enter a passage reference in the Go box of the Home Page.

I am probably not stating it correctly.

My reading plan appears on the ribbon at the top of the home page. When I click on the reading for today that shows there it is the passage guide that opens. My passage to be read shows correctly with the appropriate "Start" and "Stop" indications, but there is nowhere that I have found so far where I can say that when I open my daily reading passage I want it in a particular layout.

What I have discovered (and some notes in the forums helped me see this) is that the daily reading passage opens in whatever was the most recently used layout. So if I open the Daily Gk NT Reading layout I created, then go back to the Home screen, then click on the passage for today it will open in the layout I intend for it. The default, however, would be to open in the Passage Guide layout if none other has been used.

This is something that there have been other requests to change - something that I would definitely support. If it is not on http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4 I would suggest you add it - or vote for it.
