I'm Still Fully Annoyed for the Initial Download Options, after Installing Logos
Hello
I have deleted Logos on my old MacAir, because of the annoying experience Logos gave me. Now with Logos 9 I installed it again. BUT the options after opening Logos still annoys me. I can choose between 6GB and 11GB.
I don't want to download 6GB, not even 1GB there. I use this Mac only for simple tasks to read and search some Bibles.
Is this so hard to understand?
Fabian
P.S. I haven't found my old thread, thats why I started a new one. It seems Logos has deleted it.

Not really! Why do you ask? Has a forum member had difficulty with the concept in your other thread?
Judging from the information supplied in this thread; if I were in your shoes, and given that I do not want my resources downloaded. I might try downloading a fresh installation of logos and opening a new account. I would then cough up the $10 or so for each of the actual bibles I want to have access to.
Given that such resources are tax deductable for paid church officials the real cost of the extra account would be reduced. I would count the convenience against the cost.

Given what's desired, and assuming there are no connectivity issues, I'd suggest instead forgetting installation and just using https://app.logos.com/

1 GB is unrealistic and 6 GB total disk space is very optimistic. The main reason is that your datasets are always downloaded. If you have the Full Feature Set that takes 6.1 GB for Logos 9 (it was c. 5 GB for Logos 8). Then you have to include your Documents (at least 1GB). But you have no choice about the resources, as you supposedly always get your prioritized resources. So, anything less than 9 GB total disk space is unlikely.
If you can download and index the minimum amount available, you could remove unwanted resources to bring the space used to around 9 GB.

I never think of it myself until I see threads like this that remind me it exists. I feel sort of a calling to remind others as well.

Thanks but that works with my content from Logos, but I cannot use online the PBBs in parallel to the purchased Bible.

It seems 5GB is shit. Only excerpts of modules I don't wanna buy. Only to promote. I have disable it anyway. So I have to download 5GB for nothing. What a waste of space.

Where are you seeing "modules I don't wanna buy"? What did you disable?

Is this the datasets for a new installation? Please explain.

Please be factual - we can help you with well described software problems. We can't help with psychological venting. We also can't help with unrealistic expectations unless you actually try options such as the match operators.

Interesting if I want the Verbum too, all is downloaded again. Is this not possible to share the content?

But, in Logos, use of the Set Verbum to Yes and Set Verbum to No commands will allow you arrive at a similar result.
