BUG: Search in Logos Notes "Finds" Notes Not Containing the Search Criteria

I'm reasonably certain that I've stumbled upon a bug in Logos Notes.

I've tagged seven notes (all are in different Notebooks) Book Info. In each of these notes, I also have the text, "Book Info" (first line).

When I open ALL Logos Notes (no filtering) and type"Book Info" in the Search box, it brings up 12 notes. The five extras are NOT tagged and neither do the words, "Book Info" appear in the text (I checked using CTRL+F).

Is this a bug or am I missing something here?

And 2nd question: Is there a way to search ONLY what's in the tag fields of notes? That's actually what I was trying to figure out how to do when I discovered the above.

I don't know your notes, of course, but the Logos search box in the Notes tool seems to be searching for book info (and, which I do consider a bug, "book info" in quotes) actually by searching for book AND info i.e. book might be present in the note someplace and info might be present at a totally different place in the same note, whereas the Crtl-F find searches book info as a string search where "info" needs to be directly after "book" and a space character (like a string search for "book info" in quotes should work).

I'd expect "book" and "info" to appear in those extra search hit notes somewhere as words or parts of words.

You're probably right.

I tried searching using the term: Book Info. Then I also tried the term: "Book Info". No difference. Both "find" 12 notes whereas it should only find 8.

BUT in working with this I discovered something VERY valuable: Using the Search box at the top of Logos Notes does NOT search the tag field. It only searches the contents of the notes themselves.

To search for tags, I have to click the search icon in the filter tab and THEN it opens a find box. When I type Book Info THERE, it "finds" my tag and I simply select it. And when I do, I only have the seven notes I was actually looking for.

Duh...I just need to learn how to use the software! [;)]

It would also find other values in the Filter sidebar e.g. Notebook names, Author names, but they will appear under their respective headings, so you just look for the heading Tags.

It is probably better than searching Basic > Your Documents for mytag:"book info"

So, I find that in the Notes Tool, searching from its search box, searching for "TOC: the historian", I get every note that contains

the AND

historian AND

(likely mostly) Tocqueville;

and that the searching is indifferent to "toc:"s per se, even though the four characters are strung together, spaceless.

It would be nice were I able to locate the precise strings that I put in "" directly from the search box.
(Regardless, I'd rather type than click filters.)
