Have updated to the new version 9 of logos and the stupid program no longer works properly. When trying to highlight something for copy, or just an accidental click, logos now opens other windows and gets in the way of my work.  Have looked for a setting to control this crazy behaviour but cannot find one.

How to stop this most annoying behaviour or turn off clicking from automatically opening another book?  Please help!!!

    Hi S.W.

We really need a bit more information to be able to try and give you a "good" response. (Such as what type of resource are you using when this happens.)

Lacking that I will take a wild guess (since you said that you are now using Logos 9), with version 9 the FACT-Book has been expanded in scope and reach (and accessibility).

For instance when you have a Bible open. AND have the FACT-Book links turned on, you will get this type of behavior when you click on a linked word/name etc.

You can turn OFF this ability by clicking on the FACT-Book icon on the resources  tool bar ((nestled in between the Visual filter icon and the Reverse Interlinear icon.

    See the attached images.

Again, without more information from you I am just taking a stab in the dark here.

    P.S.

In the nest image you can see the menu that is displayed when you click on the down arrow of the FACT-Book icon.

You can set up how the FACT-Book behaves in your resources. See the very last menu choice? This will turn OFF the FACT-Book feature for all of your resources.

    Greetings S W

... and welcome to the forums. I hope we will be able to help you overcome your difficulty.

It might be worth you telling us which OS you are using and confirming that you are running an up-to-date version.

Please give us an example of a resource that exhibits this behavior.

On my Mac a single click does nothing. I need to do a two-finger click or a double click to provoke a response.

It's hard to tell from your description, but you might be interested in turning off the "Show Selection Menu" option in your program settings.

Thank you Roy!  That factbook thing solved the problem.

I was searching through program settings and was not aware of that factbook thing.  Apparently it was recently added I missed that, making me think Logos was doing wild things and not working as it always had.  Was driving me mad, but am now returning to sanity -- thank you very much!
