Audio resource Issues
I like to listen to logos resources while I am driving. I always download the resource file onto my android phone and enjoy listening to the book offline. But I am noticing that often in the middle of playing, the audio will stop and a message pops up and tell me that the file cannot continue because I am not connected to the internet.
I am confused. Why would I need to be connected to the internet to listen to a downloaded audio file? Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Mark,
I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this.
I would like you to try an experiment.
Do you seen an improvement with this if you put your device into Airplane Mode before you start listening to a resource?

I will try that in on my next long trip on Saturday. But of course, that would not be a great solution as it cuts off potential phone calls. But I will report back to you on this.

1. When phone is on airplane mode, I receive a message "Could not load audio-check your internet connection" (this happens at home and also when driving)
2. If I am listening to a file and while listening I put airplane mode on, the file will continue to the end, but the next chapter will give the message "Could not load audio-check your internet connection"
3. If I am driving and NOT using airplane mode, the audio file will play. But sometimes there are pauses for a few seconds or a minute or longer and sometimes while in the middle of listening to an audio file, I get the message, "Could not load audio-check your internet connection"
The audio files have been downloaded locally onto my phone. Even with airplane mode on, I should be able to listen. What if I am on an airplane? What is wrong? It is unacceptable that I cannot listen to an audio file offline. I am using moto g phone power phone android 10.

I just took a quick look at the file and see it only shows activity for 3/16. Unless I read it wrong, it does not show activity for 3/13 and 3/14 when I was on a long drive.
If this is so, and you need me to reproduce what happened, I can try to reproduce some of it at home and send a new file to you. I will be able to test it out on another drive next Sunday.

Hi Joe,
Has a fix for this issue been found? I ran into the same issue a few months ago (sadly not until after my airplane had taken off).
I just tried again, and the audio book will not play in airplane mode even though the app says the book is downloaded.
Thank you!0 -
Hi Carola,
We are planning to work on a fix for this soon, sorry for the inconvenience.
In the meantime, the workaround is:
- From the Library or a tab where the resource is open, tap on the icon with three vertical dots.
- Select "About this book" (from the Library) or "Book Info" (from the resource tab)
- Tap on "Media Downloads"
- Tap on "Download All"

i am not able to download the media files... any issue or solutions...

Please create a new thread
If David is talking about the audio files, this is still a good thread...

In general, when asking for assistance, it is best to create your own thread. That helps to facilitate a conversation for each user seeking help. It is also important to provide appropriate details so that 1) the user gets help in an expedient manner and 2) it doesn't waste others time.
There is a place for communal threads, but it is best to make sure users are discussing the actual same topic.
