Interactive Parallel Gospel Reader
Under Tools is the Interactive Parallel Gospel Reader. I have created a Layout with only that resource but when I am done reading and save the current location by Updating to Current Snapshot, it does not go to the saved location but starts from the beginning when I reopen that saved layout.
Is there a way to save my place when using this tool?
I am attempting to use the Kurt Aland Synopsis of the Four Gospels with the ESV version of the Bible for morning devotions. Being able to save my place and pick up reading from there would be nice.
Is there another way to do this?

Hi Bill,
You could link it to a bible in a Link Set, that works for me, as the bible will open at that position. Hiding the linked bible as a tab and navigating in the Parallel Gospel Reader still works also, which was unexpected but nice.
Now I am confused because it is actually now working without having to link a bible. I think first time I just opened the tool again from the tool menu.
How are you reopening the layout after updating it?

I use a shortcut to the saved layout.

Shortcut is also working for me. I am on Windows 10 beta, I will go check my other machine which is not on the beta - which OS/version are you on ?

My apologies, I didn't read your first post correctly. If I choose the Kurt Aland Synopsis, it does not reopen to that book, but does open to the passage I was on, albeit in the first book on the list, which for me is Eusebian Canons.
If I then change the book back to Kurt Aland it switches to the reference I was at, although on a couple of tests it went to a different passage which must of been another parallel. Confusing.
Is this is what is happening for you?
Ideally it would just reopen to where it was I would agree with that.
The only thing I can suggest for now is to not use the tool, but use the book itself from the Library and save that in a layout, or even use reading plan.

It always seems to go back to the beginning Eusiebius Canon and linking a bible seems to help but is not consistent.
Thanks for your help!

I took your advice and went directly to Synopsis of the Four Gospels and it works as expected.
I thought the Interactive Parallel Gospel Reader was providing the content.
Thanks again!

Bill I made a reading plan anyway as I think I will follow it at some point, it might be easier for some than using layouts to track, or for use on mobile.
https://documents.logos.com/documents/934201d4b0f348b8aa19b71d89975675 - 'Get a Copy' of this from that page if anyone wants it, or search for it under the Docs Tool (Public), and after a minute or so it will appear in Logos, you can then add it also as a home page shortcut. It's two days over the year but ho hum.
