March Madness Thumbs Up

To me March Madness has been refreshing this year. Retiring NOCOT/NICNT helped us have a different voting dynamic and it is nice to see some series rising toward the top that I don't recall being in the final couple of rounds before.

I haven't followed the Mobile Ed voting so can't comment on that. I hope folks who care about Mobile Ed are happy, too.

I don’t see 55% off Mobile Ed Courses; even though there’s currently a “Championship Round” going on. Maybe they skipped the 55% off courses or plainly forgot to include them in the deals page.

Unlike you, Mark, I think MM this year was uninspired. FL needs to step up their game next year. The savings and choices of resources have me on the sidelines. Then again my library is bloated, but, there are still resources I have my eye on. Just waiting for the right deal. If you're wondering what would move me. The Preacher's Commentary Series (35 vols.), the new Tyndale Commentaries and all of the Preacher's Outline and Sermon Bibles. These are just a few examples of what I'm looking for.

I'm not a griper and I don't like negativity, but, I feel this constructive criticism needs to be voiced.

This was literally the first year I bought more than one or two volumes ... upgraded two series and purchased a third.

I avoided purchasing any commentaries for the past 2 years, so I could benefit by the ones that were included in L9 when I purchased that. I'll end up upgrading 4 commentary series in MM at good prices, including ZEC. No mobile ed.

I’m glad I finally got Apollos OT commentary. I only had Deuteronomy and the rest of the volumes were too expensive until now. I also got the new ESV Expository Commentary series and I’m loving both; not too mention a ton of Publisher’s Spot Light goodies! My final purchase will be ZECOT/NT when the 60% discount goes live on Monday. Overall, I’m satisfied with the selections this year.

Overall I am happy, but I really wish they had included the New Interpreters Commentary set. I don’t recall it ever going on sale, and would love to add it to my library!

Abingdon Press is a little stingy when it comes to discounts on their resources. Even the competition doesn’t have sales on it unless they offer a 25% off the entire site’s catalog about twice a year.

Mobile Ed has one less round (according to the rules page) and so there is no 55% discount round.
