No scrolling on Android App w/ external keyboard/mouse?
I started playing around with my android phone today and the Logos app, trying to use my bluetooth external keyboard with it. I was shocked to discover that the trackpad does not scroll at all! The arrows do not work and neither do the page up/down options. I know it's not the keyboard or trackpad since all of these navigation options work fine in MySword and in Chrome.
I was able to turn off scrolling in Logos and I can move my mouse to the left edge or right edge and left click will turn the page, but what a limitation....
I typically have scrolling on so I can swipe up or down to scroll and then swipe left or right to move between tabs. Now to move between tabs I have to go down to the bottom and select the tab I want.
Is this intentional feature limitation or bug?

I discovered a workaround for scrolling with a keyboard. It is not perfect but it is something. With scrolling selected in settings, I can move up and down in the text by double tapping on the trackpad with one finger and holding the second tap, then moving up or down the screen. This will move the screen up or down that length.
If the up or down arrows could work that would be much better, but, this is better than nothing. Not certain yet which I prefer, this workaround or turning off scrolling and using the tap/page turn. Will have to try this option to see.

Are you using 2 fingers on the trackpad? Scrolling works fine for me using the trackpad on my Chromebook.

Hey Martin,
Thanks for responding. I've tried 2 fingers, 1 finger, right side, left side of the screen. My bluetooth keyboard (Fintie Ultra-thin Keyboard with touchpad from Amazon) even has 3 OS options that I've tried (Windows, Android, IOS). Nothing seems to make a difference.
I would imagine yours is working because 1. you're using Chrome OS or 2. it is particular to my keyboard. 2. it's the fact that I'm on Android.
It's not a deal breaker since I've found I really prefer the page turn feature rather than the hold swipe described above. But, if the arrow keys worked I would definitely use those instead.
As a side note I have found that the side arrow work (at least in page turn mode) to cycle to different tabs which is incredibly helpful for navigation. The only real issue remaining is difficulty in copy and pasting verses on page turn mode from Logos mobile to a word processor. To make this easier I had to turn off the auto lookup because every time I clicked on a word the popup would cover the highlighted word completely! But this is only in landscape mode. Portrait mode it's fine. But with auto lookup turned off I can select a word, it highlights and then I can either choose lookup from the menu or try to highlight with the blue bars, which is really annoying. I should be able to use my trackpad and highlight normally.

More developments in the scrolling and copy/pasting department in LOGOS Android camp.
1. I can "throw" the page up or down in scrolling mode if I double tap with one finger and then hold on the second tap. This will let me scroll up or down the full length of the screen (which is not that much especially in landscape mode). But, if I, after the double tap, quickly slide my finger up or down the trackpad the text will scroll on its own for quite a ways. It's not perfect. Would be better if I could use the up and down arrows on the keyboard. But...
2. One of the real deficiencies with this android app at this point is not being able to copy large portions of text (I mean a few paragraphs is difficult). When I click and hold on the start of a section I want to select and copy, it will select the word, but for the life of me I can't grab the blue arrow with the mouse, it always disappears. Selecting text the normal way (i.e. Windows) does not work, it just highlights it in yellow and actually applies a highlight. Very frustrating. Well, I turned off highlighting with a swipe in the settings and now I can click-hold to select the first word, then I can move the mouse with the trackpad still held down on the click and select in blue what is on the screen.
3. I can even go a step further and choose smart text selection in the settings so if I select part of a paragraph it will (in theory) select the rest of the paragraph, even if it is not visible on the screen. It is not perfect, but it's getting better.
.............
I've also found the split screen option very useful as well as turning off auto lookup to make the real estate use more predictable. In the split screen NKJV on left, Greek OT/NT on right, I can be reading, then select a word in the Greek > lookup and it gives me the definition even offline (I use the software offline about 60% of the time, so any feature that doesn't work offline is rather useless for me).
I've found a few how to videos for the mobile device, but they are unfortunately mostly for iphones/ipads and not android and very basic.
