The detailed search help (https://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help) seems to indicate I can search by Bible reference using something like <bible John 3:16>

However, when I do this I get the following:

I'd just like Logos to pull up  John 3:16. Moreover, I'd like to be able to search by an entire list of references. For example, if I wanted to study a particular set of verses or find a list online I'd like to search by lists of Bible references (something like <bible Romans 12; 1 Peter 4; 1 Cor 12-14; Eph 4>

Are these things possible?

    I can search by Bible reference using something like <bible John 3:16

    This is searching for where a reference to the verse appears - not the verse itself.

    For that, you could use a Milestone search - {Milestone <Jn 3:16>}

    For this sort of thing I would enter the verses / passages into a Passage List and work from that (I've used a cutdown list of verses to show how they appear but this works just as well for the complete set you mentioned)

    Then, if you click the Open all button, your preferred Bible will open filtered to show just those passages

    Does this help at all?

    Thanks. I'm a bit surprised by the effort to do this because I would have thought that these functions would be very regular activities among students of the Bible.

    But yes, this helps accomplish the task.

    It's a request that does get made from time to time - I tend to look enter references for  verses in the reference box at the top of the Bible so haven't found it a problem.

    Is there any reason doing that wouldn't give you what you are looking for?

    Yep, that is what I'll do from now on because you can't search multiple verse references from within the search tool. If the only way to do that is through a passage list then opening the Bible and searching in its search window is definitely preferred.

    you can't search multiple verse references from within the search tool.

    Sorry - I should have pointed out you can do this by separating the terms with a comma - such as:

    {Milestone <Jn 1:3>}, {Milestone <Matt 5:1>}, {Milestone <Rom 3:23>}

    You can do this in a standard Search window or in an Inline Search
