Logos guys, is it worth having a try at installing/running v4 under Wine?
Be not drunk with wine but be filled with the Spirit! ;-)
I would loved to be totally smashed on the type of WINE Pastor Thomas is talking about!
I can help, Thomas but I have no idea of what to do. I have Ubuntu, I like it, and know I cannot use Logos with it. So I may be of no help at all.

I did see a screenshot last night with someone claiming to have gotten Logos 3 running under Wine. I'll see if I can find it again if you like, though it didn't provide any useful details.
I got the first stage installer to work, but the second stage just hung for me. Perhaps there are other prequisites that are needed?
Ok. I might give that a try when I have some time (heh. make some time, I mean).
The Recent discovery that Logos 4 relies upon the microsoft Background Intelligent Transfer service (BITS) doesn't bode well for Linux installs.
Though there has been a skeleton implementationof BITS since .9.47

And I just noticed that Winehq lists an active BITS dll...

No point giving up hope before I have a chance to play with it maybe around beta 4 or so when another DVD is sent out.
I found the page I saw that claims to have gotten Libronix 3 going under Wine:

Will see if I can achieve that too - and document it if I do.
I attempted an L4 install last night under WINE, didn't even get the installer started; C++ ended funny they say. I'll play with it.
