SGNT not listed in Syntax Search?
I hope someone can help me here. I have Lexham SGNT in my library and can open it without problem. I have an assignment that requires doing syntax search on it. However, when I try to perform a syntax search, I found it is not listed under Syntax Search. Is this a bug in Logos 9 or do I miss anything?
Thanks in advance!
Yong

Welcome to the forums. I believe it is listed at the top as LSGNT
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Here's the screenshot. It is not listed in the dropdown for Syntax search to select.
You need the Sentence Analysis resource, not the Bible. It comes with the Logos Silver Feature set

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your help! I have Sentence Analysis in Logos. But LSGNT is still not showing in the dropdown list under Syntax search. Strangely, it is showing under Bible, Basic, and Morph searches.

Yong,
Please show a screenshot of Library with type:clause-visualization in the Find box and showing the full Title of each resource in Details view.

I think it may be that you have the SBL edition instead of the non-SBL edition. Hopefully, someone from Faithlife can clarify this.

It shows in here. Could it be my LSGNT is under name "GNTD" in Syntax Search? Following Dave's hint above, I notice GNTD and LSGNT are the only ones that differ across the lists. This is very stranger because other searches have LSGNT.

Appears Yes, am a bit puzzled by GNTD:SBLE (instead of LSGNT:SBL) for Syntax Search menu choice: Also perplexed by Syntax Search showing "Greek New Testament and Dataset: SBL Edition" instead of "Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament: SBL Edition"
Also a bit puzzled by CSGSDA instead of CSGLXXDA (as LXX seems more familiar to me for Septuagint abbreviation)
Abbreviated names for Menu could have "D" or "DA" suffix removed.

Appears Yes,
On mine (L7), LexhamGNT is a separate dataset from LexhamGNT-SBL (in the Help> About > Syntax Search section)

Thanks! Your screenshot shows you have both GNTD:SBLE and LSGNT under Syntax Search.
Do you have both non-SBL and SBL editions of LSGNT? If so, then in Syntax Search list it might be:
non-SBL is listed as LSGNT.
SBL is listed as GNTD:SBLE.
This may explain why I have GNTD:SBLE, not LSGN - because I only have SBL edition.

Do you have both non-SBL and SBL editions of LSGNT?
Yes, also have nine Type:Clause Visualization resources that includes:
- The Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament: Sentence Analysis
- The Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament, SBL Edition: Sentence Analysis
If so, then in Syntax Search list it might be:
non-SBL is listed as LSGNT.
SBL is listed as GNTD:SBLE.
Agreed while puzzled by GNTD:SBLE for abbreviation (and Greek New Testament Description), quite different than corresponding Clause Visualization resource name.

"Greek New Testament and Dataset: SBL Edition" has been renamed to "The Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament: SBL Edition" in order to match the naming pattern used with the other syntax datasets. Thanks for pointing out this problem.
