Faithlife - please respond: Library issue.
There have been a couple of threads on this but no response or solution.
When in the library, as I am hovering over titles, there is no problem.
But if I open a title, and then go back to the library, hovering and selecting is all messed up.
If I hover over a title, it actually highlights one 2-3 titles away, usually below the one I want.
If I click to open, it opens the one it had highlighted, and not the one I wanted.
The only way to fix it is to close the library and open it again.
There is no crash, so logs won't help. A screenshot is not going to help either as you can't see what I am doing on my trackpad or mouse.
Help?

I have seen this problem too, I never reported it; I thought it was something weird on my system (I am on Verbum 9.4 Mac).
It seems to happen when clicking on the resource "hides" the library pane, when another resource opens up in that same area. Click back to the Library, and the cursor is off about 3 titles.

Help?
Details are important. Which specific version of the app? Which specific operating system? What other details can you provide? Are you in full screen mode?
There is no crash, so logs won't help.
Logs describe in detail what happens step by step. They are not just for crashes. The only way for FL to figure out what is going on is to use logs.

Do you have the library panel docked?
I am running Logos 9.4 on a MacBook Air (M1) running macOS 11.2.3. I cannot reproduce this issue. I tried a floating panel, docked panel, and the menu dropdown panel.

My computer is a iMac, late 2019. Running Big Sur
I am on Logos 9.4 but the issue existed long before this.
It is most common when I open the library in its own tab, filling the screen.
I tried opening as a floating window and cannot reproduce the issue there. I guess that will be my workaround for now.

Well, if the problem is anything like the mobile app (completely missing the correct highlighting line), I'd bet it's in the font-sizing/percentaging. Not as a work-around, but detective-ing, does playing with the tool vs resource font-sizing do anything?

This is a screenshot of it in a full tab. You can see that Logos has highlighted "Hebrews to Revelation." But I am actually hovering over the title before it, "Matthew, Mark, Luke..."
Sometimes it is 1 title off, sometimes it is 2 or 3. I've never noticed it being more than 3.iMac (2019 model), 3Ghz 6 Core Intel i5, 16gb Ram, Radeon Pro Graphics. 500GB SSD.

Thanks to everyone. I have heard of others having this glitch, which can be quite annoying when you are trying to hide a bunch of resources you won't use.
I called in and had a great rep. Here is what he asked me to do, and said it sometimes works for other problems:
Close the program completely. Hold down the Command button on the keyboard (alt on Windows). Keep it held down and it will bring up the sign-in page before opening the program.
Go ahead and sign in. I don't know why that worked, but it did!
Hope it helps someone else.

Pater, see the solution above. It worked!

Ah sadly, did not work for me (Verbum, 9.4, Mac). Here is a link to my dropbox of a short video showing the scrolling. I opened the library into a pane, clicked to open one resource. Then I clicked to open another resource, which opened in the same area as the Library. When I clicked back, you see how the cursor acts.

Same, Pater. Sadly, after I posted my solution above, it started doing it again.

what computer?
I said in the reply and in my original post here it is a Mac, did you need more info? MacBook Pro 2019. What else do you want to know?

did you need more info
Yes. As I explained earlier it could have been a hardware specific issue. When troubleshooting, the details are important. However, you are not on a similar computer to the original post, so that excludes an easier explanation. At this point, FL getting logs is crucial.

Try changing the text size for the pane. I've experienced the same symptom, and fixed it every time by toggling the text size to anything else, and then back to what I desire.

I think you nailed it Gregory. I have mine set on the 5th notch from the left, a little bigger. It happens every time. It also happens 4th from the left. But at third from the left, it does not happen. I can go back and forth between 3rd, 4th, 5th and it is consistent - good on 3rd notch, does not work right on 4th and 5th notch.
So it's a bug in scaling/display..
