Can't set preferred Bible and resources?
I use a Chromebook for my teaching prep, so I rely heavily on the Web and Android Apps. I can't seem to set my preferred Bible and Study Bible notes in the web app? I have no clue why it defaults to the one it does. This seems like basic functionality, so please add if not available.

Welcome to the forums!
You can vote for the very sensible suggestion of adding Prioritization to the web app here: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-web-app/posts/add-prioritization-to-the-web-app
In the meantime, unfortunately you'll have to rely on the desktop app to adjust default prioritization.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the Desktop app as a Chromebook user.

You can set your preferred bible via the kebab icon.
- Open your bible
- Click the panel's Kebab icon (3 vertical dots) -> Set as Preferred Bible.
Unfortunately, there isn't a way to prioritize other resources on the web app right now.

Thank you. I probably should have clarified. I already have it set as my preferred Bible, but that does NOTHING. The app always opens a different bible as the default.

Gayla - I know this is not a perfect solution, but a workaround until Faithlife makes this possible in the web app...
Could you borrow someone's PC or Mac, load Logos, sign in, and then set all your preferred resources?

Thanks for the suggestion. I did download the Android app to do something similar, but some of the settings don't seem to carry over between the two. I think it may just be limitations of the web app. I have requested some enhancements on that suggestion page.

Hm. The web app running in Chrome browser on my Win 10 desktop works just as David described it above (and syncs that preferred bible as top of the prio list to my Logos desktop application). I would assume that it should work and probably is tested by the web app team on Chromebooks - maybe technical support can help?

Interesting. So when you hit the blue Logos logo on the top left of the home screen it opens the correct Bible? Mine does not. It takes me to the first Bible I purchased with Logos on the left and a random commentary on Mark on the right (regardless as to the resources I have marked "preferred" or even last used).
Maybe I need a better way to navigate?

I never knew it was supposed to do that, actually. But when hovering over bible references, the popup will show text from the correct bible, and when clicking onto those cross references, it will open the preferred bible.
EDIT: a fast way to open any bible you like is to drag it to the shortcut bar (this works in web app)

Hi Gayla,
The blue icon at the top left (the red arrow in my screenshot) doesn't really do anything -- it just reloads the page.
There's several ways to navigate in the web app. If you want to start fresh, you could go to the home page and click the card to open your preferred bible and commentary in a layout (the green arrow in my screenshot). This will close all the other panels and just open those two.
However, as NB.Mick said, almost any panel that has bible links in it should open your preferred bible. Do you have a specific example of a bible reference that isn't linking to your preferred bible?

I'm also having difficulty setting a preferred Bible other than the Lexham English Bible. I've clicked the kebab/hamburger icon when I have the NASB open. There are lots of things to select there but none of them is to set as the preferred Bible. Not sure what to do now??

I have this very same problem. I always have to open the Bible I really want to use each time I open the app.

Hi Rayna - and welcome to the forums
I have this very same problem. I always have to open the Bible I really want to use each time I open the app.
There have been a lot of changes to the web app since this was discussed in this thread.
You should be able to set your top Bible using the menu shown below

If you open the Library on your desktop, do you see the book you have purchased? No, it is not in my library. It tells me to go to Logos.com to purchase it. I go to Logos.com and it says I own this book.. I just go around in circles. If I can get this in my library then the rest of the problems are moot.0
