Logos 9 Limitations?
I have a layout for a school project that is pretty massive. The main window has nearly 50 resources...then I have four other windows that have 10-15 resources (each grouped by various aspects of my project: OT Commentaries, NT Commentaries, Theology, Interpretation). I use them for various sections of my project. Two questions:
1) Is there a better way to set up this layout so I can use the groups and turn quickly between them without having to start from scratch with each one of them?
2) Is there a limitation in Logos for opened resources or some other limitation that could effect the reason for my post?
ISSUE: One of my windows cannot be minimized (I click the minimize button and it just sits there) and then pops to the front no matter what other window I am using.
Thank you!

Additional Data Point:
I now cannot access any resources in the window at all. I can see them but I can't access anything. The video shows both the way the window randomly pops to the front (window in the middle of the screen) and then how I can't access any of the resources in the window.

Oddly, I think I fixed it...
I selected "Window" at the top of the desktop to see all the open windows. I selected the one that was "dead" and it pulled it up from being minimized (which clearly it was not minimized as per the video!). When it did, I could access all the resources. Interesting...

Well, after I saved the layout, the problem persists. My workaround is the "Window" process, but then the window just freezes after a bit.

Is there a limitation in Logos for opened resources
Yes. I have no idea what the limit is, and it would depend upon your computer specs. Open resources consume resources. You don’t have an unlimited amount of memory or processing power. 50 resources does sound quite excessive.

Libby was surprised ... even she can comfortably handle 50 (though a bit of a squeeze, and if you remember, re-sizing the window meant starting all over ... that may have been her undoing, besides a very slow search).
But starting with Logos4 thru Logos7, I have a 150 resource layout (4 windows), plus a text-compare with another 50 or so. Running on a 10 year PC w/SSD, and Windows7. Solid as a rock ... runs without a re-start for months. Whoever did the architecture planning in 2007 or 2008 really was good.
Can't speak to the strange window above, but if it were mine, the cause would be either a mis-behaving OL resource, or one refreshing online.

This is interesting. I wonder if a layout can be corrupted. The symptoms persist. I am thinking about starting all over...

Realized I never updated this thread...
I ended up deleting the window that kept popping up and recreating the window with those resources. It is working "better" than previous but still not how I would expect. That window, when recently accessed, continues to pop up no matter what other window I access. I can navigate away from it and then it doesn't pop up as much. I can get by with how it is functioning now. Will be curious to see if future builds will resolve this. Thanks for your help.

May I ask what the resources are? It might matter somehow.

You are lucky, I have Windows 81. and only 8 years old computer, and run L8. My customized passage study layout has 32 resources but normally the number grows along with my (dubious) exegesis. The number of resources does not seem to be a problem. The link sets also seem to work the way Logos has specified them (although my requirement specification would have been different).
Well, I also have a laptop with W10and L9 and it seems to work fine with the 32+ resources although it has much less RAM memory.
