App on Onyx Boox Nova 3
So... I got the Logos android app installed on a Boox Nova 3. And it looks wonderful... the issue is, every time you move from one page to the next... it ask you to login again. Ever. Single. Time. Is there any to get it to remember that it's logged in?

I am sorry, Paul, but this is not a supported device for our app.

Do you have a list of other Android 10 devices that are not supported?

Android 10 JT https://www.boox.com/nova3/
I was seriously considering this. I am curious as to why it does not work, and what other devices are impacted?

That link was for the desktop app (windows/Mac) Here is a link for mobile, but it does not have a list of unsupported devices. That would be impossible to do (there are thousands of devices which run android)

If Logos made a simply e-reader that supporting nothing but reading and highlights, it would be a hit (among us). Something along the lines of a Paperwhite or even the basic latest gen entry Kindle with 167ppi and backlight would be more than acceptable.

It would not be impossible to keep a list of devices that don't work, or hardware that they know does not work.
How miffed would I have been to purchase this device, only to find it does not work, and Faithlife knew about it but didn't mention it.
Is it all e-reader screens that don't work, or just this Carta one?
Perhaps it is Wacom digitizers for example that are not compatible so we would know to avoid any hardware that has this.
It seems to me that more info could very well be provided.

you are absolutely right on this. I almost bought the lenovo 2 in one
that has the paperwhite screen on one side... just for logos... but its probably to slow0 -
I was looking at some Boox devices, ironically because they were mentioned here on the forum. Glad I got the Tab 7s+ instead...more pricey, but at least it works!
It would be better if they styled it as BooX...it makes a big difference in how the mind processes the pronunciation.

Oh that’s disappointing to hear that it doesn’t work Paul. It is fine on my Nova 2 (Android 9). The only thing I can think of - did you install the app through the Play store rather than a sideload (in case the store is in some way required for the authorisation?)

I actually did go through the play store... how would you avoid that?

Joe said above that the Nova 3 isn't supported. So the question that needs to be asked is why the 2 is and the 3 isn't...or perhaps it's just hit or miss.

I've had account issues since upgrading my Likebook Mars to Android 8; not as bad as these issues though.
It was all working fine on Android 6 before the upgrade. (Reverting is not an option though, since it's already the minimum supported version.)
I wonder if we can find out what's going on here. As far as I know the Android versions, especially 8.x, 9.x and 10.x, have been greatly modified by Onyx and Boyue in order to make them compatible with their devices. They might nit even be licensed by Google any more.
As far as I also know, the Logos apps make use of the Android integrated account management.
If that component has been scrapped from the modified Android versions, then that would explain the issues.
I'll write to Boyue support for a start. Maybe they have an idea.

I think it's the latter.

Great info, looking forward to see what they say. Thank you [Y]

I tried to love Logos on an Onyx device and another eink device. But it just wasn't a good experience. Logos is just not great on them. If you really want that kind of device, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite or the Tab S7 if you want premium. I love reading on it. I'd prefer an eink device, but not with Logos.

I have Logos on Onyx Note Air with Android 10 and it works very well. I wonder what is blocking your Note 3 to work with Logos.

Probably because it's stuck at like android 9.6

I am using an Onyx Boox Poke 2 (Android 9) with the Logos Android app. It is running very well. I am using it just for reading purposes. This e-ink device makes reading so much more comfortable compared to phones or tablets. So far I have experienced no problems at all.
Also other Android apps are working nicely on this device.

I have the Onyx Boox Nova 2 that runs Android 9.0. The Verbum mobile app looks and runs quite well on it. Onyx firmware includes optimizations that help apps like Verbum/Logos look like they were designed for E-ink.
I have no idea why the OP is having trouble with his Nova 3. Other than uninstalling and reinstalling, I don't have any suggestions. It could be a firmware glitch in the Nova 3 that may be fixed in a future update.

I've got a tab s4... I have used logos mobile on it... my issue is the screen and late night reading.I like the e-ink. I've given my Mom the Nova book 3... because Olivetree is working pretty well on it and she likes that app. So.I guess I'll be getting another toy.

Can you please give some details as to how you're getting Logos to work on your Note Air?
I also have the Note Air. I can install and open the App. But I'm repeatedly asked to enter user name and password. Doesn't seem to want to connect.

I am having the same issue with my Book Note Air; I also have a Note 2 and a Nova 3, each running Logos fine...but the air is not. And it only started not working recently, it was working fine for months. Also, have called support and didn't get any answers.

funny...I can't get it to work on my Note Air but it does work great on my Nova 3

HA! Finally got it to work. If you are having this issue on an Onyx device make sure the time zone is set to the proper time zone and the date and time are set to automatic.

Thank you! Who would have thought the time zone could mess up login so much?!

Thank you! This helped me.
