I have a brand new laptop tht im running logos 9 on. all my courses have audio, but no video, all it shows is a white screen.
I've updated all drivers, reinstalled logos and no good.
If you have an Intel 11th gen, then hardware acceleration has been turned off automatically in Logos 9.4 and above, due to a bug with the Intel graphics driver causing major issues with WPF applications such as Logos. This I think unfortunately means videos will not play whilst this is off, at least for me on a non 11th gen, it disables my video.
You could try re-enable hardware acceleration from the very bottom of Program Settings, which you will find in the 3 dot menu at the top right of the application. This will however cause a few issues in some parts of Logos such as Notes. I think you need to relaunch the application once you have toggled the setting.
Please see this thread for more details https://community.logos.com/forums/t/196185.aspx, and https://community.intel.com/t5/Graphics/Iris-Xe-and-AWS-Workspaces/m-p/1275644#M96477 for more details about the bug. Hopefully Intel will release a beta driver to test soon.
If you don't have 11th gen, then possibly a different issue, please advise.
Cheers for that Kevin!
Turning on acceleration fixed it for me. Hopefully a fix is pushed soon, in the mean time its not a huge issue for me as i use my ipad and the logos app for note taking. i just like waching the vids of the course on my laptop as its got a much bigger screen.
Thanks again bud!
Good news!
Rather than causing other problems in Logos, instead of re-enabling HW acceleration, you could also for now, until Intel does update their driver, watch your courses in your browser at https://app.logos.com/tools/courses. [Y]
Because sadly for a lot of the courses i have and want to do they dont work on the website. For example the NT Wright courses, either show as a white screen or just dont show at all
I am now in exactly the same situation. New 11th gen Intel laptop and no video in Logos Mobile Ed. However when I turned on hardware acceleration Logos won't boot. It hangs at the Logos 9 splash screen. Any further help on this would be appreciated please.
Intel issued an updated driver to fix this problem - see https://community.logos.com/forums/p/196185/1171007.aspx#1171007 for details
If you haven't got this driver, it is worth installing it.
But I note, from further down the thread I posted to, some users still experience problems after installing the updated driver. Please let us know how you get on
