I was just wondering why the serpent in Genesis 3 is not tagged as <Person Satan>. At least, a search on <Person Satan> does not give me hits in this chapter.
???
It is labeled "Serpent deceiving Eve". "Satan" is interpretation not what the text says. And because the serpent is compared to other wild animals and is the model of why snakes have no legs, it would make no sense in context to replace "serpent" (what the text says) with Satan (what the text is interpreted to mean).
It's difficult, but no less interpretive than some of the other tagging, in light of Revelation 20:2. I think it would be useful in this particular instance.
I don't think it is currently possible to share highlighting schemas, but the ability to do that (and effectively share labels) to supplement Logos tagging would be useful. There could be a community document "Conservative Evangelical" which would tag the serpent as Satan, Jesus as God, etc.

Yes it is. Highlights are stored in Note Documents which can be shared. When shared, the necessary customized Highlighting Palettes, if any, are also shared.

They try not to and correct them quickly when reported. Do you have some examples?

Except that's the whole point of doing Sense searches.

I interpret the sense search to be much more strictly linguistic in nature.
I had the same question. The only way I was able to find Satan in Search was to use the {Section <PreachingTheme Satan>} syntax. I thought that was weird too considering Genesis 3 does appear to have a person tag for Satan at least in Logos 9.

It's not actually a Logos provided tag - it is a Community Tag indicating that someone (some people) have tagged it
This doesn't include it in search results, but makes it easier to do lookups in dictionaries etc
Oh yes you're quite right. I'm still new to this Logos thing and in my mind I thought Genesis 3 would've shown Satan as person tag in Search as the original poster said.
