Anybody can give thoughts on Gundry’s Survey of the NT 5th edition? I have my reservations on his Peter the apostate disciple book, but I know it’s food for thought.  I’m just curious about his survey.  I might pull the trigger on both the textbook and the videos.

Thanks!

You have my interest up. It's about 50 pages longer than the 4th edition and a decade later than the previous one. Gundry is one very smart and learned man. I am about to attack his commentary on Mark which got very high praise from someone I know who knows a lot more than I do. Would love someone else opinion on this one cause it ain't cheap right now.

I can’t offer you any answers to your question, but you have reminded me to add Gundry’s book to my reading list. Books with a bit of controversy are often a good study even if you don’t agree with their outcome they propose because they make you look at things in the text you might otherwise overlook or take a view of them simply because it’s what you have always been taught.

I went for the videos by Gundry but decided to wait for the book to go on sale.  Hopefully Zondervan can have a half off sale on those too some time soon 👍😁👌
