I'm guessing plenty of people have purchased the Moo mEd collection since it won in its bracket. I can't get it, though, so I have a question I'd like some help with. I saw a YouTube video with Moo where he said that prophecies about Israel that are negative (judgments, punishments, condemnations, etc.) are about the Jews while prophecies about Israel that are positive (blessings, etc.) are about the church. I have looked a few times to try and find that video again, but haven't been able. I believe it was one where he was part of a panel discussing Israel, but it may have been about Romans (9-11) or some such. Anyway, if anyone feels inclined, perhaps you could browse the Moo materials to see if he repeats that "observation". Also, if anyone knows the link for the YT vid, that would be great, too. Thanks in advance.

    Hi David Paul:

is this more or less what you are looking for?:

Moo kind of says that God has always chosen a remnant within physical Israel: one of the sons of Isaac, etc.

Maybe punishes is for the other non chosen physical Israel, for being far from God.

Then he says that there is Spiritual Israel, that must be the Gentiles under the New Pact. and maybe they are the ones receiving the blessings.

Does make sense based also on:

    English Standard Version
Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

I appreciate your response. This is the area of Scripture that Moo was addressing when he made the statement I would like to reference, but I am specifically looking for his statement that positive prophecies about Israel refer to the Church and negative prophecies about Israel refer to the Jews.

    Thanks again for responding.

Ok, now I understand, I found this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keVxUdvYZe4

In a Douglas Moo quick collection search, only 3 resources appeared that could have something to say.

It is hard to identify the resource that expresses the concept without knowing the actual words that Mr. Moo used.

As far as answering, you are welcome.

I wonder if you have a blog where you touch upon all the interesting issues that you post about?

I have a very particular view of Job and the actions God had in that case, but as you know cannot be shared here.

    Peace and grace.

I've been looking into that. Will probably get something started before the end of summer.

I've looked at both parts of that panel discussion before. He flirts with the idea, but in the video I remember, he was standing at a podium, I think with one other speaker, but it's been long enough that I can't remember exactly.
