Does the Logos 9 app copy references to notes?

While using my Android Mobile Logos 9 I find that copying and pasting text from a resource into a note never includes the bibliographic reference for the text like it does while using my Windows laptop version of Logos.

I just bought an Android tablet in large part so I could use Logos on it. But now I find that the only way to get the references for text I insert into notes is to use Logos at my Windows PC. That's a very unpleasant surprise because in other respects I really enjoy using the mobile version.

Is there a setting to change this behavior in the mobile version? So far I haven't found one. If not how soon can this be implemented?

Have a great day,

    I'm afraid there isn't

It has been requested but I haven't seen any indication as to when / if this will be implemented.

You can suggest it here: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-mobile-app

This isn't just a mobile app BUG...it's a problem in the desktop app as well. In the past, whenever I copied text from NASB into a note window, all of the marginal note references were also included in what got pasted, but now none of that data is being included. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THIS BREAKS LOGOS FOR ME. I don't know what opened the door to this kind of nonsense, but the door needs to be SLAMMED SHUT RIGHT NOW!!!

Seriously not joking...FL needs to STOP whatever it's doing and FIX the program it has sold to its longtime paying customers. TODAY...not tomorrow. NOW.

That sounds like a separate issue and best discussed in the desktop forum.

Having said that, I can't reproduce what you are describing. In the screenshot below I have just copy / pasted some verses from NASB into a note

If you are seeing different behaviour I suggest you start a new thread in the desktop forum

It's not an identical problem; however, it is the same kind of problem as far as I'm concerned. Data that should be included in the Paste (and always has been in the past, in my experience) isn't being included now. Whether footnotes, marginal note, bibliographic data, or whatever, all of this info HAS to be included in a copy/paste function. Perhaps it can be toggled on or off, but it can't simply be left out.

I'm glad you are able to create a paste that includes the footnotes and margin references. That means it should, in theory, also be available to me. The question is, why has that functionality failed to carry through on my system? Perhaps my settings were altered when updated to L9. If so, that's a bug that needs to be squashed in the future.

I was suggesting the issues are different as the reference has never been included when copy / pasting on mobile (at least as far as I can remember) but it should (does on my system) on desktop.

Hence the suggestion to create a new thread in the desktop forum where we can look at the issue you are experiencing.

Although have you checked the Copy Footnotes setting in Program Settings?

If it is toggled off, it would probably explain what you are seeing.

Yeah in recent versions of Logos this inherent feature was moved to an option. I got caught by that as well until I thought "gee maybe they put that in as an option now." I don't know if it comes turned off or I somehow turned it off in my desktop version.
