Highlighting in Sermon Builder Changes My Changes

Highlighting in Sermon Builder changes pre-formatted text. For example, if I have put text in BOLD, ITALICS, or UNDERLINED - and then highlight, text goes back to normal format (NO bold, NO italics, NO underline). I sure would like that NOT to happen.

I see what you mean - and agree this is not helpful.

We've looked into this internally.  Here's what seems to be happening...

    • Let’s say for example, the entire selection of text is both bold and italics.  Then, you highlight that whole selection and change its color or background color… then it will maintain the bold and italics state under that circumstance.
    • However, if only a portion of the text is marked up and then you go in to change its color or background color, it will revert it back to normal
    • If more than one markup is done, then it also reverts it back to normal.  For example, if the text looked like this... "For God so loved the world," where part of the selection is bold and the other italics, or really any combination of two separate markups, then we found that it placed everything in that selection back to normal when placing new colors on it.

In a talk I had with the development team about this, we are in agreement that the scenarios laid out in bullet points two and three should not be happening.  We will be creating a bug case for this to resolve the issue.

Thanks for pointing this out and we hope to get a fix out for it in the near future.  Blessings.
