I pre-ordered this:

https://www.logos.com/product/198741/theology-church-and-ministry-a-handbook-for-theological-education

I know the final shipping version will be the Logos Edition.

Is there any chance Faithlife can process my preorder to it now (let me pay ahead) and give me the EPUB/eBook version of it?

I need access to this book ASAP, so I'd be willing to pre-buy a non-tagged version of it so I can read it now, then await for the Logos edition upgrade when it arrives.

Thanks!

Being pedantic Nathan, I am sure they can make the book available. However, I think it might take a personal call to customer service to set up. I doubt that they would want to make a public show of acceding to your request.

If it became common knowledge that they would make this type of exception the logistics are terrifying.

This is a great point, Mike!

Back before Faithlife acquired Wordsearch I purchased several B&H books in FLEB format (the only format available) but opened and notated in my Logos software for Seminary courses I was taking. Now I am pleased that many of these titles will become Research editions! I will be getting the Research editions (eventually) for the price of the FLEB. I understand Nathan's request to be "I'm prepared to pay the Pre-pub price for the Research edition, can I access the FLEB for a course I am currently taking?" I believe it is reasonable for Customer service to consider a request like this when there is a compelling reason AND the customer is not simply trying to get something (Research) for a lesser (FLEB) price.

Actually, I've noticed quote a number of B & H books that I bought as ebooks in the past, are now cheaper as Logos Research editions. Maybe, since they acquired the rights with the purchase of WordSearch to produce all B & H titles, it's resulted in better pricing.

I just emailed Customer Service on it. It looks like existing Wordsearch customers who own a license to it "may" have access to the EPUB version already, so if Faithlife/Logos can do the same for me (and allow me to pay for it now), that'd be great. I'm not asking them to give me the book for free now so I get it for nothing. I'm willing to go ahead and fork over my money for the license now. I just need to be reading this book now (to prepare for an upcoming class), so if I can buy access to the EPUB version now, that'll more than hold me over until the full Logos Edition ships. As long as I have the text of the book ASAP, I can patiently wait for the upgrades to the Logos tagging and videos.

I am sorry, Nathan, but this is not possible.  There are numerous technical and accounting obstacles to fulfilling such a request.

Thanks for the update. I was also told by CS that the EPUB isn't even available anyway. I'll see what I need to do.

I've been granted a brief extension on when I need to have the book read, so hopefully the pre-order will be released by then. If Faithlife is able to possibly bump it up in the queue, that would be great. If I can get the book read by the end of summer, I should be set. Thanks!

Nathan - this is $10 on Kindle. Buy it there and then celebrate when it comes to LOGOS by purchasing it there as well.

    Blessings,

Thanks, but my Amazon account is in the process of being closed out. I could see what other eBook platforms it's available in (I have access to ChristianBook and Barnes and Noble).
