Hebrew Glosses in iOS (iPad) App
Hi all!
I have transitioned to doing most of my week-to-week original language text study for sermons on my iPad (if I have a paper or something bigger to write, I use the desktop Logos app).
For Greek this works wonderfully. I can tap on a word I don't know the definition to, the little quick look up box comes up and gives me the Lemma, Gloss, and Morphology, and then makes it easy to kick it to BDAG or another bigger lexicon for a more in-depth look.
I'm having issues with Hebrew doing this though. My assumption is that this varies by edition of the Hebrew text. I currently have BHS w/ Westminster 4.2, BHS w/ Westminster 4.0, and BHS: SESB 2.0 in my library. The SESB gives reliable glosses, but are in German which doesn't help me too much. 
The other two seem really hit and miss (and mostly miss) as to whether it will give a gloss for a particular word or not.
My question is: is this a technical thing I can fix on the iOS app in some way? Or (more likely in my mind), is there a Hebrew text available on Logos that would have more reliable as to supplying English glosses for every word (which, then, like Greek, I could jump to like HALOT or something for something more in-depth look if need be)?

It's 2021 and this still isn't working. The Hebrew gloss will not show (it only gives Lemma and Morph). I'm using BHS and I have HALOT

I just keep a small BDB in my ipad for quick lookups ... below, BHW and BHS:

Do you have BHS downloaded for offline use? My gloss works in the lookup if BHS is not downloaded, but as soon as I download BHS, it stops working (even when I'm online).
Unfortunately, I need to use my iPad offline a lot of the time, so not downloading BHS is not a viable option.0 -
Hmmm ... I can't imagine what's causing your limitation. I downloaded BHS and turned off the internet-access in ios. Then double-clicked a hebrew combo (see below). I didn't try HALOT?
Separately, whoever coded the lemma popups, nicely done. The small panels scroll sideways.

Yeah I can't figure it out either! I've done it with BDB and abridged BDB and others, and unfortunately none of them work. But bizarrely, as soon as I 'remove download' on BHS, the gloss suddenly works again.
Yes I do love the panels for suffixes and prefixes. Unfortunately it's just the gloss that seems to be broken for me!0 -
I guess, last possible ... which version of SESB are you using (downloaded)? See mine below. I notice it was about the time they were struggling with glosses on the mobile:

SESB (you may already know) delivered 2 glosses ... one in english, then one on german (same popup in desktop). I'm guessing mobile re-coded to deliver 1. Just opining, but I notice the gloss delivery seems independent of the lexicon ... maybe my memory's wrong, but BHW doesn't have glosses but mobile delivers them. And they seem naive ... not specific to the passage (eg from an interlinear source).
