God speaks to Christ
{Addressee <Person Christ>} WITHIN {Speaker <Person God>}
I thought this would give me places where God speaks to Christ such as when He calls Him His servant.
What syntax would give me that?

Hello Bob,
You need to use INTERSECTS.
{Speaker <Person God>} INTERSECTS {Addressee <Person Jesus>}

Use <Person Jesus> instead of <Person Christ>

That does give me the NT refs but not the OT.

The person Jesus isn't tagged in the OT.
Try:
<Person Pierced Servant> INTERSECTS {Speaker <Person God>}

Thanx for your efforts. That finds some, but not Isaiah 42.
This takes me closer.

Right click on servant in Isaiah 42:1 shows <Person Chosen Servant of the Lord> so search suggestion is:
(<Person Chosen Servant of the Lord> OR <Person Pierced Servant>) INTERSECTS {Speaker <Person God>}

Thus far it seems you need to know the refs before you can search for them.
You go to each one and right-click to find out what He is called there. Then you chain them together to search.
Is that not "knowing the answer before you ask the question?"
Is there not a single person we are looking for? Is He not known as "The anointed, Messiah, Christ"
" {Addressee <Person Christ/Messiah/The Anointed>} WITHIN/INTERSECTS/AND/WHATEVER {Speaker <Person God>}"
Should those searches not produce something?
Is "Chosen Servant of the Lord" or "Pierced Servant" totally intuitive?
Does anyone else see this as a problem?

Yes, fairly often. Logos is often both wonderful and frustrating.

I just saw a post dealing with this very issue:
https://community.logos.com/forums/t/201539.aspx
You'll find a large number of OT terms that refer to Jesus (some of them might be more broadly applied, so you'll have to use some discretion), These could be joined into a single search phrase (I would use a text editor to do that and then copy/paste into Logos) and saved for future use.

In Isaiah 42, isn't God speaking about the Messiah but not speaking to him?
Would this search - {Speaker <Person God>} WITHIN {Label Messianic Prophecy} - help here?

Thanx, that helps.
Isaiah 42:1-4, yes, but 6-7 He seems to speak to the Messiah.
Your search came up with 67 results so I will be busy for a while!
Thanx again to all who helped
