Text Comparison Translation Selection And Order
Hello. Wondering if there have been any improvements made over the last couple of years that I may have missed? Using the text comparison tool on the iPad I would like to see the following translations in this order: ESV, KJV, NASB 20, NET, CSB, NIV, YLT, NLT, NA28. Is this easily doable now? Last time I checked it was sort of a convoluted process if it was even possible. I do not mind setting it up on the desktop first—just would like these translations in this order. Thanks.

AFAIK, it uses the library prioritizing sort from the desktop, if available. I'm not sure, if not available. Did you do this?
When I do a TC on the mobile, it uses my priorities from 3 years ago .... last desktop online. As with much mobile vs desktop, I wish they'd settle down and decide if the mobile is a mobile desktop (uses same rules), or mobile is just a sort-of desktop but not. On my desktop, TC sorts by title, which I manage.
Of course, just to keep things interesting, the app.logos.com also uses the library priorizations, but only 5. You get a bonus 6th (or maybe all-prioritized?) on the mobile. Whoohoo.

It's easily doable on the desktop.
1. Open a Library pane.
2. Click on the triple dots in the top right corner and then on "Prioritize resources".
3. Select the ESV.
4. Drag the ESV into the Preferences column.
5. Repeat with each of the other resources you want to prioritize, and put them in the order that you want them to be prioritized.
6. You're already done.

Thanks DMB. I was hoping the flexibility had improved, but it evidently has not. I am using the suboptimal prioritization route at the moment. I do not want to be locked into a rigid order as my preferred order in TC varies depending on what I'm looking at. Having to go in and change the prioritization in the library in the desktop app each time doesn't really make sense to me as this sets the prioritization for these resources throughout the app (not just for TC) if my understanding is correct. I also often do not have my laptop with me so this isn't very practical when I only have access to the mobile app. My preference for the order of translations in TC often varies from my preference for the order of translations elsewhere in the desktop app. I'm probably in the minority in that I use TC a lot on my iPad and when I went to add a new translation today and tweak the order I was reminded the process seemed more cumbersome and inflexible than it needs to be in my opinion.

Well, tjebme, you're singing to the choir. Even the desktop isn't as flexible as it easily could be (eg a selection of separate verses for comparison by version)
The mobile also has the other feature of choosing a pre-specified collection of Bibles (top-right dots-menu). I've no idea the sort, since I just tried a collection of LXXs for Genesis, and no can do. Who knows.

On the desktop, I like to have a tab with a Bible open it. Then I use the arrow keys to cycle through the translations in that tab. This is the order, based on prioritization that I use: ESV, KJV, NASB 20, CSB, NIV, NLT, YLT. I view this as my default prioritization mode and in my view, I shouldn’t have to change this as it would impact how I study on the desktop app.
When I’m using text comparison on the iPad, here are different views I use/want to use as an example:
1) ESV, KJV, NASB 20, NASB 95, CSB, NIV, NIV84, NLT, YLT
2) KJV, Wycliffe, Tyndale, Geneva
3) NA28, ESV, NASB 20, CSB, NIV, NLT
4) NIV, ESV, NASB 95, CSB, NIV, NLT, NA28
5) NA28, Greek NT Majority Text, Scrivener’s Textus Receptus
While not ideal, an initial setup of these on the desktop would be okay, but most of the time I’m not around my laptop to make changes when I want to switch views on my iPad.
