Chapter formatting in personal books

I'm trying to build a Bible personal book in Logos, but am having trouble formatting the chapter headings. I'd like to format them the same way Logos does -- for example, look at the ESV, where the chapter number is on the same line as the first verse of the chapter. The ESV also shows, "Chapter N" in the contents.

If I use Heading 2 for the chapter number, I can't place it on the same line as the verse, and I don't know how to have the chapter show up as a number, but the index have the full Chapter N text.

Has anyone figured this out? Is there a special tag I should use for chapter numbers?

I'll post pictures of what I was trying to do tonight. But, it looks like what I'm trying to do isn't possible-- I found this on the Logos wiki:

"Logos requires Table of Contents entries to be on a separate line and have its style set to a Heading style. This means that the dictionary word has to be placed above the definition but it also means we cannot replicate the format of Logos’ dictionaries."

I was trying to replicate the format of Logos books, which it looks like isn't possible. Although, I wonder if I could set the heading style to have white text, so it's invisible, and then set the actual chapter number to be black in the body of the text? Pictures of what I mean will be coming once I'm done with work today....

I think I know what you want, but I don't think the Logos mojo is totally on our side on this one. See the attached snippet.

On the chapter heading, I tried to format as white, then very light gray, then with a font size of 1. In all of those cases, the PB was compiled with a regular-looking font. The smallest i could make it for the compiler to respect was 5 (font: Arial). It isn't invisible, but it's a bit of a whisper.

On the numbers, a little better news. While a Word drop-cap won't work (it's a text box and the compiler puts it on a different line), the enlarged number looks OK.

That is excellent. The bible reference after the milestone could be distracting as that will popup the verse in your preferred bible.

I would suggest that the chapter heading be clearly visible, and also be a milestone e.g. [[@Bible:Genesis 1]]Chapter 1
