Passage List not Useful Anymore

In 3.0 in the verse list we had the option to choose from serveral styles: Reference Only, Reference and Text in One Column, Reference and Text in Two Columsn and Reference and Text in three Columns. As as Pastor when preaching I used Reference Only so I don't have to look down through a long list of full text passages to jump to a verse. I would put my Passage list reference next to my Bible. In 4.0 I no longer have this option. Please bring this back.
In 3.0 we also had the ability to add verses from a web page or active Word Document. I found at Conferences when someone would present us a paper and give us the Word Document. I could quickly follow along by adding the passages from the Word Document and put them in list view so I could clik on them and folllow along in my Bible. I know I can add from file but it was quicker to add from active Word Document.
In 3.0 we also had the option of sorting the verses according to Canoncial Sorting or Custom Sorting. This was also helpful. Is losing all these features really an improvment?

With regard to the listing of verse references you can do this this with the new passage list.
With regard to the active document, I'm really hoping this set of features isn't complete yet. I can live without active document if they include "add from clipboard. Actually I would rather have add from clipboard because then I know which word document I'm getting if I have several open. Simply go to the one I want, CTR A Ctrl C, then "add from clipboard." I do really miss that feature.
I'm not sure what you mean with the sorting issue. I am able to sort them canonically with the "sort button" and custom by drag and drop. did you mean you wanted some kind of a "restore to default" option? I can't remember 3.0's options.

Yes, custom sorting was the restore to defalt option of your original verse order. There are a few occasion when I would like to switch between the two. But the biggest issue for me is the ability to simply list the passages so I don't have to read through 5 pages of verses to find the text I want. When preaching I simply have a list of passages next to my Bible so I can click on the verse and jump only to that current passage.

clearing the resource box doesn't give you this result?

Yes, clearing the resource box gets me back to passages only. Thanks! But I still need to go back and forth between the original order in my passages and the cannonical order. I can sort by cannonical order but I can't go back to my original order.

I'm hopeful this this is a consequence of it being "beta" and not a dropped feature. But until the hopeful addition of the feature you could create a backup for each Passage List. Yeah, its messy, but its the best I can think of.

John, as a beta tester you need to check some things for yourself, or ask some questions, rather than saying that things are not as you remember from L3. There's plenty opportunity to make constructive suggestions in this forum.

You can use Undo (Ctrl+Z) to switch back and forth, however, Undo won't work once you've closed and reopened the passage list, or performed too many other functions.
I will submit a request for the custom sorting option.
