All of the Oxford Handbooks are presently Readers Editions. These are quality references rich in diversity and content and relatively costly. There are presently no plans to develop these resources as Reference Editions. The only avenue available to us is to let FL know that we as customers value this particular series and are interested in seeing them made into Research Editions.

I was told that the channel that would allow us to bring our interests to FL's attention is through the feedback site. I was given instructions to use this link https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-resource-updates

Edit:Please vote for The Oxford Handbook of Early Christian Archaeology https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-resource-updates/posts/the-oxford-handbook-of-early-christian-archaeology

Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

    Serious??

I went back and read Phil's excited prepub announcement.  He didn't mention voting for ...

"In the Logos edition, this volume is enhanced by amazing functionality. Important terms link to dictionaries, encyclopedias, and a wealth of other resources in your digital library. Perform powerful searches to find exactly what you’re looking for. Take the discussion with you using Overview tablet and mobile apps."

I guess you're now saying my Overview tablet's not going to be a happy camper (I didn't order, being a bit suspicious).

What items are not tagged in a Reader edition that you need tagged? Reading Logos Editions doesn't make it clear to me what tagging you find essential that is available only in the research edition.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

This one seems to be research edition, and maybe some others.

I bought them all, and that is the only one that is a Research Edition. Bizarre that they chose to do it for only one of them.

Sorry, I have an activity to attend today, it's 90 mins away I awoke early to see these posts. Thank you Veli for correcting my "research" on the "editions" finding the red herring that is a Research Edition. Rosie, I hope you received a good deal on your purchase, thanks for sharing and confirming that the better majority of these handbooks are Readers Editions.

Yes Denise, in-spite of Phil's representations these lack critical functionality.

MJ, I just bought the Early Christian Archaeology volume so I just did a cursory review. The first thing I noted right away was if you right-click on locales such as Ephesus, Corinth and in my first case Lycaonia there is no link to or Factbook function also Atlas is absent. I'm sure I will find other unpleasant surprises as I engage the text.

Finally, I had thought I included another link to an update request for all the Oxford Handbook editions to be updated. Seperately, I'm sure there is a back story as to why only one edition was made a Research Edition and why that particular volume ended up being the elect volume and none of the others. Perhaps FL will choose to enlighten us. Here's the link https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-resource-updates/posts/the-oxford-handbook-series
