Logos mobile on iPad

I still don’t understand how this app i have invested so much money in doesn’t work as well as free apps on the iPad ecosystem. It’s a constant battle to use it, doesn’t work consistently at all, whether app or web service. Since we are a small church, i cannot afford to invest in Accordance to really test it, and don’t have time to learn a new system right now. Please tell me there is a new app coming soon. Sorry I mostly complain on here, but its a constant battle. Even if i reset the entire iOS operating system itself, logos doesn’t run any better. 1/2 the time i cant even select text in a bible window unless i go to another app and come back or quit logos and reopen. Doing that over and over gets frustrating. Just wondering is it just me?

I have last years iPad Pro 12.9 wtih 1TB storage.

Don't know why you're not on ios14, but maybe a good reason.

In any event, it wouldn't help. Just yesterday, I was trying to highlight. And indeed nothing happened. I quickly pushed the app out of view (experienced user ... ha), and back to get it to work right (as you alternatively switched apps). It has the same issue when zooming an image. Why the guy doesn't want to fix it, is beyond me ... you can easily see where the code error is.

But that said, I wouldn't scrap the FL apps ... they're far beyond the other Bible apps (I have Accordance, Laridian and Olivetree). Also yesterday (a busy day), I was matching up the Targums, the Old Latin, Vulgate, and LXX. The others just can't.

But complaining is good. Squeeky wheel and nails on chalkboards. Ha.

Hi Robert - sorry to hear you are having problems.

A few thoughts:

You've posted in the Logos 8 mobile app forum - are you still running 8 or are you using 9?
When you refer to the web app are you accessing it from your iPad or somewhere else? (Either way its a different app and would need to be looked at separately)
You mention not being able to select text in a Bible window - but it would be good to know a bit more. What happens when you try?

In general, if you can provide a few more details regarding the range of problems you are having we will try and help.

I wasn’t thinking. Just clicked with where i have gone in the past. Really so many issues I don’t think step by step will help. The app is terribly glitchy. When i try, nothing happens. I cant click text, etc. LIke focus is gone on th app. So i will switch apps then come back.

For instance, when i was gonna do video of the selecting issue, the pairing of windows so they scroll together, wouldnt work. Was yet another failure of the app. I am on iOS 14.

The size of the iPad is 12.9 - my os is 14.6. And every time i am forced to use my iPad it highlights the failure of this app. Maddening.

it would be good to know which resources you were trying to link together - only certain types of resources support this.
