Question for Mac Book Pro users. Does L9 look good in a 13 in or is a 16 inch better for “vision” and study purposes? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I have a 15 inch and my wife has a 13 inch. At 65 years old I can’t use her 13 inch with comfort. Just my experience. I don’t travel a lot so size is not an issue.
I have the 16 inch MBP and really appreciate it for being able to see clearly. My wife uses the 13 inch MBP and is able to use Logos very well, but she usually only has two panels open (side by side). A lot depends on your working style. At most, I have three columns open, and I use a floating window if I want to read a book at length. I could probably switch back to a 13 inch without much issue.
I have a 13 inch and wish I had the 16. That's just my thoughts. When at home or in the office, I have a larger external monitor connected to it.
I have a 13" and do not mind the smaller screen. I do however stick to two panels unless I am doing a course & then will use only 1 panel. An additional monitor probably would be useful, but I haven't used any personally.
I was going to buy an MBP with a 16" screen, but the new Intel one was very late on arrival so I wound up with an XPS 15" with a 4K screen. I absolutely love it. Screen size matters. When the new MBPs come out in the fall I probably will get a 16" to replace my 9 year old mac mini. I think the 14 would work if I plugged it into a good monitor. You get spoiled by screen size/resolution and it's painful to work with less.
At 65 years of age I use a 15 inch and find it usable. I don't have the greatest vision and would find a 13 inch difficult to work with. For longer sessions I use a 27 inch external monitor and find it quite lovely.
Thanks everyone! I’m so used to Windows 15.5 in screen, but I guess I’ll invest a little more to get the bigger screen Mac. My brother and a some friends have a Mac and they last forever compared to all the Windows I’ve ever had 👍😁👌

Well I would say good choice wouldn't I ;-)
For serious work (like when it is appropriate to sit at a desk) a second monitor is really worthwhile. Almost any monitor is usable as a second monitor. After a while with a useable second monitor a good monitor goes on your Christmas list.
I have two monitors 18 in so for now I’m set with what I have 👍😁👌
I have a 16" Macbook in my office, connected to a large external monitor (40").
I also have a 13" MacBook M1 that I use when not in my office. It took a little getting used to, but I easily move between the two machines. I'm 60, and need bifocals. It's all about the settings. I created two different versions of the same study layout, one for each machine.
Hi Dal, I would hope that you will be getting one of the M1 systems or waiting until maybe Nov for the ( 14 inch redesign MacBook pro ) it is said to be getting a 10 core CPU it could up to twice as fast as the current Macbook Pro M1.
I am hoping to be able to upgrade my current Mid 2015 Macbook Pro retina 15" I do also use a second monitor 27" ViewSonic

Yes, I’ll wait for now. I’m just getting informed to make the best decision when the time comes to make a purchase 👍😁👌
DAL,
Have a 13 inch MacBook Pro. It's OK, but on my desk, have a second hand 21 inch monitor, cost very little, use that with the Mac most of the time. But if travelling the 13 inch is OK.

I get by just fine with 13", but 16" would be much better, of course. I wouldn't buy an Intel MacBook at this point for that though.
Go 13" = REGRET (I have the 2015). I do hope to get a 16" eventually.
Meanwhile:::
I just got the M1 24" iMac (non-touch) with Vesa mount in hope to get a carrier bag to be "mobile." I got the NumPad keyboard - easier with chap & verse numbers, along with both mouse and track pad. This is much better for two open windows / apps.
Vesa to be more flexible with height and rotation; dismount Vesa and Go.
I'm thinking of a way to make my own carrier until a good one comes along.
I'm sorry this answer is outside of your question, but I hope some may find this info helpful.
I have the 13" and am quite happy with it. It is highly portable and plenty fast for Logos and other uses. The screen is pretty good to read on. If you are thinking of buying now and don't need it immediately, you might want to wait for the new 14 & 16 inch ones that should come out later this year that reportedly have minLED tech (https://9to5mac.com/2021/01/08/what-is-mini-led-tech-ipad-macbook/)
However, when productivity requires multiple panels at once I would recommend getting a nice large external monitor to connect to when you are at a desk. These laptops handle external displays incredibly well.
