UserVoice: Logos is listening!

The experiment Logos set up to see what features we want added to Logos 4 is working. They are listening and beginning to give feedback there to our requests, letting us know which things are already in the pipeline, or why they are not going to start working on them any time soon.
Check it out if you haven't already. Once some feature you've requested is marked as "Started" you can take that vote back again to use on something else (just click on your vote and change it to 0).

Cool!
I just unvoted for the stuff they're already working on, or have planned to free up some votes for other things.
(I hope I didn't do a bad thing.)

Thank you Bob, this is a great present. Now go take your vacation without a laptop.[Y]

Thankful for the communication and yet disappointed because I thought several of the things "planned" should be nearer to "completion" and not even "started." [:(]
I REALLY want my PBB's and Sermon Files...

Not unless everyone else does that to, and Logos sees suddenly nobody wants printing anymore, so they decide to discontinue development on that in order to start working on turning Analysis View into a full-featured Spreadsheet. [;)]

I will say it again...THANKS LOGOS for being a responsive, customer driven company!
I appreciate the hard work you put into your product and the Christian way you go about treating us...

Despite my "me-centeredness" noted above, I truly appreciate this company!

I don't know how Logos set it up, but the other company that uses a similar system, frees up one's votes as soon as the project is "accepted". No, they don't subtract the votes out. [:)] It was the freeing of votes that I was most interested in - curious as to how they would be redistributed. They (Harmony Assistant) also picked up items with low vote counts that were either very easy or a component of a larger plan.

I just noticed that the verse lists request has not be labeled started. Given that it is in the beta, Logos ought to get credit for it as well.

Maybe it deletes them only after the feature is marked "completed."

I didn't have time to go through them all, and only wanted to "tag" ones that were clearly underway, and had enough votes that I wouldn't be influencing the ranking too much.

Quite alright - I just found it amusing since it was already in beta. But didn't I tell you to not take your computer on vacation[;)]

Yup, that's what the site says in the fine print. I don't get any votes back [:'(] What do you think of a movement to give everyone who lives within a 200 mile radius of Bellingham, twice the standard number of votes. I'd argue on the basis that we live close enough to stage a demonstration. I'd even print up placards: Logos 4, go for more! Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? [;)]

Well, you don't get them back automatically, but you can take your votes back on things that have already been started. It's even probably safe to do so for things that are planned. You can pretty much trust that Logos will continue working on these features now, regardless of what the votes say. They've seen the results thus far and they know people will be shifting their votes to new priorities for the longer-term future releases. I'm already daydreaming about 4.0d...

Rosie,
After reading this thread, I thought I will give it a go to suggest some improvement for Read aloud ...

I chose initially to not vote for items that were already planned for Logos ... with two minor exceptions. So I fear I can't gain much; luckily I'm patient (most the time).

Should have a simple vote system without a quota! One vote per suggestion with no limits on number of suggestions. Simple!

I agree. That is actually how the software company that I know has been doing this for years works.
