Does anyone know if Logos is working to improve the dark colors in Logos?

Do you mean “dark mode?” If so, what are your issues?

Very difficult to see the icons on the top bar when in dark mode.

You got me! I was struck in bed.

But yes! - various Faithlife employees have stated that work on improving Dark Mode is a work in progress.

There are voluminous threads and posts on the topic of "Dark Mode," but if you have issues, I encourage you to hunt them down and to chime in with specifics. Is there anything else other than the icons you reference?

I've given you the specifics JT. Let me put it another way. The dark mode is nearly impossible to use because of the difficulty in seeing parts of Logos, especially on the top bar.

Thank you Mike for that update. Nice to know that it's being worked on.

I've given you the specifics JT.

You don't need to give me specifics, you need to give Logos specifics. That is why I encouraged you to search for the many threads on the topic. The forums aren't a primary means for interaction with FL, but they have been somewhat active in some of these threads.

The dark mode is nearly impossible to use because of the difficulty in seeing parts of Logos, especially on the top bar.

This is better, but you need to go further. which parts are difficult to see? These are all perfectly clear to me!

I do not use Dark Mode at all... I just switched over to take this screenshot for you. However, I know that there are a significant minority of users who love it but want it "improved." YOUR definition of "improved" and someone else's definition might be opposite. It is also possible that your monitor or settings (in windows?) could be altered to make things better for you. Since I don't use Dark Mode or Windows, I'm not a great candidate to help, but I am sure that there are others who would be willing and able.

JT, your statement "You don't need to give me specifics, you need to give Logos specifics" is a tad bit confusing.
As to the multiple threads that are available, that's alright & most of those I have seen but it's not yet helping my case or others as far as that goes. That this dark mode is far from where it should be is an understatement.

But to the specifics or the issues if you will - opening up the main page present zero problems. It's as clear as can be! But let's say I've got a Bible passage opened. To the right of that, let's say I have 4 or 5 dictionaries opened. It is the dictionary icons that are so cark, it's next to impossible to see them. The fact that this is being worked on at present, shows there to be problems with it.

As to my definition of being improved and another's definition of being improved, both will at least find this similarity & that is not being able to see more clearly what is up on our screen.

Also, this has nothing to do with my screen settings, for it is only the dark mode in Logos that I'm running into a snag with. This is why I asked if they're doing work on it to further improve it and Mike Binks has given the thumbs up on that.

And to be fair I gave the 'thumbs up' in general rather than for a specific instance.

But I am sure that the 'specific instance' will eventually be swept into the general improvements as they incrementally become evident.

Or should that be ... as the incremental general improvements become evident?

I hate infinitives and split ones even more so.

    Is this even an infinitive?

JT, your statement "You don't need to give me specifics, you need to give Logos specifics" is a tad bit confusing.

    You had written earlier:

I've given you the specifics JT.

I don't work for FL, so I wasn't asking you to give ME specifics. I was wanting you to flesh out your ideas more for FL. I think you have done this a bit more when you wrote:

As Mike clarified, he was speaking in general. Yes, FL knows that some users have some issues... and they are apparently working on some of them. However THEIR issues and YOUR issues may not be the same thing. I am trying to make sure that your voice gets heard by the right people.

this has nothing to do with my screen settings

But it might! I had a hobby business in video editing at one time and know that different settings and monitors can have a BIG impact on the user's experience. I am not trying to imply that there isn't an issue for FL to address, but I do encourage you to explore that possibility.

Mike, as to your query about the infinitive, may I suggest infinity and beyond?  :-)

JT, thank you again for your reply. I didn't actually believe you worked for FL and if you did, then I simply would have been in error. When I ask a question, I'm not expecting FL per to necessarily roll in but you folks who are a bit more in the know, thus my initial query. I was expecting a yea or nay reply.

I'm not aware of 'other' issues ... just the fact that some icons & their colors set against a black background is hard to see on my monitor. Am I the only one who is experiencing this?

As to the different settings for this monitor, I'm using an ASUS ROG laptop with the maximum display resolution of 1600 x 900. Again, I'm not technically minded at all, so the only thing I can see in here is basically what I just mentioned. If you've got further suggestions or instructions, I'm wide open sir!

Jt - I seriously appreciate your efforts in this as I'm sure others have benefited from your help over the years.

Hopefully you will end up being connected to some of the other threads or some of those users will pop in here. "Dark mode" is actually quite challenging for older technologies because causing the screen to be "black" is quite difficult when light is used to create the image. I don't have any really expensive TV sets, but if you have ever walked through Best Buy or Costco and seen a TV set which awed you, one of the things you may not have realized is how much better, darker and clearer some of these new displays are in the darker areas.

I realize this laptop is ready for the Pension Plan and if it would only explode, I would have an excuse to buy new.

I guess with the TPM chips becoming a requirement for Windows 11, it might be just enough excuse to earn more Airmiles & get into something new ... if I live long enough.

Seriously, thank you again for coming in on this and for your efforts JT.
