BUG: "This resource is no longer in your library"
At some time in the past I had some resources temporarily as part of a subscription. That subscription has now lapsed, and so I no longer have those resources. I have run a "delete unlicensed resources" command, and they no longer show up in my library in the Windows app.
However, when I click on a cross-reference link that lands in one of these resources, I would expect to receive a resource preview and purchase page. Instead, I receive a message saying "This resource is no longer in your library. ... (If you were working online, you could try to update it now.)" I am all set to work online, so this message is misleading.
(The web app does not show the same behaviour, but rather says "You don't have a license to view this resource, but here's a preview...")
Also, when I run a concordance tool for "Works cited", these resources do not show up as locked (with a padlock icon), but as unlocked (with a book cover icon).
I think there must be some data leftover in my databases from this previous installation. I am running 9.7.0.0020. Is there a command to run to repair the database? Or is this a bug?
Thanks!

Hi John,
In the command box type delete unlicensed resources.
This will remove any files download that are still on your hard drive.
I think to remove any references to those resource in guides etc. you need to a complete reindex. I would like for someone to confirm this before recommending it as it is a time consuming process.

Hi John, thanks for the reply. As I mentioned in the OP, I've already tried running that 'delete unlicensed resources' command, and it hasn't helped. Are you suggesting a complete reindex might be needed too? I'd be glad if someone could confirm that, because it will take quite a while on my library.

May be irrelevant but did you restart after running the delete command?

Thanks MJ, yes, I have restarted (many times).

It is a bug. If a record is still in the Library Catalog database indicating that the resource is not available*, I got that message. When I deleted the record, I got the message "You don't have a license...but here's is a preview". So I don't think that re-indexing will fix the issue (and I don't recommend deleting database records!).
.
* Logos updates the status in the database and retains the record. I've got over 300 expired monthly Connect resources going back to August 2018. When they get re-issued, they appear in Library with all user tags and user ratings from the database!

Thanks Dave. I don't think I would want to go tinkering with database records, even if I knew how! If it's a bug, how would it be drawn to the attention of Faithlife for their developers to fix it?

The title of the thread should be enough to provoke a response. Every time somebody adds to the thread it get shifted to the top of the pile again.

I certainly hope this gets treated as a BUG and fixed. This has always annoyed me. I want to see the resource preview, simply telling me I used to have a resource but I don't have it anymore is not particularly helpful.
