BUG: 9.7.0.0025 with the library
So I have a layout of the collections tool and the library to make collections. In the library I have used the facet to group all my biblical commentaries. I have clicked on the series tab to group them by series. This list is an alphabetical list of the series of all my commentaries. So, as I move down the list in the library I am currently working in the B's and specifially Boice's Expositional Commentary and the library keeps rolling back to the front of the list and does not stay where I am currently working in the library. This is frustrating.

Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

Okay I understand. What you want to do - assuming you want to continue looking at Boise:
- choose the Bible Commentary facet
- choose the Boice Commentary facet
Then when you choose one Boice you will remain under Boice until you close that facet (click the x in front of the facet in the breadcrumb trail).
If, however, you wish to pick up at the next entry after Boice, you're out of luck. As you have observed you are put back at the start of the facet listed.

Clicking facets for every series commentary I own is not practical. The library should stay where I put it. At lest I think it should.

While I believe the library should stay where I set it and not reset. I will attempt this method. I typically don't use rules for my collections because I think it slows the systems down.

Interesting. Can you tell me why? I have thought the opposite -- that they sped the system up but then I don't use the mobile apps and I've never run an actual comparison.

Many complex rules with many embedded AND, OR operators will have an impact. Many simple rules like the one above will be fine. But what is your aim in creating a collection for a single series e.g series:"Boice's Expositional Commentary"?

When logging is enabled, Logos.log OR Verbum.log file shows collections that take awhile. Thread => indexing mentions 250ms. Personally use collection rules in thread => Collection rules for sorting commentaries (updated for Logos 9 Libraries) to filter my Library followed by selecting all resources found so can apply a Tag, which is noticeably faster for refreshing collection cache than complex dynamic rule. Every tag is a collection.

I understand. Many applications work the way Logos does and I understand why -- it is very difficult to maintain position when intervening actions may have changed the position. But, like you, I would prefer that it remain stable.
