Slow application of User Created highlighting

I've only just started using the user created highlighting much today, and I've noticed that it is consistently slower than regular markup.
My custom highlighting is a red underline with red sidebars.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Is highlighting being added via Visual Filters document to a large number of words, or are you manually applying highlighting to selected text? Was the custom highlighting imported from L3? Also, how much RAM does your computer have? (We've had just a few users complain of delays with applying highlighting, so I'm wanting to compare some of the details.) Thanks.

Sorry, and here I am the one who whines about bad bug reports. [:$]
Description
>>Selecting a brief bit of text and applying custom highlighting is slower than applying regular highlighting.
Steps to reproduce
- Load Logos4
- Open a book (lectures to my students - vol 1)
- Select a sentence
- Hit the key (U) defined to apply my custom markup (Red underline with two red border lines.)
- Alternatively hit the key (Y) to apply yellow highlighting.
Actual Result
The built in yellow highlighting still takes a while to apply, but the custom highlighting takes a bit longer.
Expected Result
No difference in time.

Thank you for the details. I'll submit a bug report. So far, not very many users have reported the problem, although it could be many are just living with it. I haven't seen a delay on my systems in applying custom or built-in highlighting.

It may be helpful to reproduce the problem with logging enabled so we can provide a Logos4.log file to development.
