I've looked at the recommended specs and was wondering if this laptop would work well for Logos?

Thanks.

Mine has a 1TB hard drive and when everything is indexed it runs great, but I definitely wish I had bought a SSD instead. Those specs look great and Logos should run fast. I’m planning on upgrading later on this year and I’m doing research on a Mac Book Pro since the memory can be upgraded. Still, some windows already come with a 1 TB SSD and are cheaper, but most Windows I only get 3–5 years and by the 3rd year they start slowing down a bit; especially, Logos since I have a big library. Plus, Windows service packs get updated a lot.

My current laptop is just over 5 years old and has been steadily slowing down over the past year. I was hoping to get another year out of it, but accidentally dropping it on the floor has forced me to look for a new one. [:'(]
I also like the 17 inch screen. It's more pricey, but it makes using Logos easier. I've never had an SSD, so I am looking forward to seeing the difference.

That Optane memory should further enhance your experience with Logos on an SSD, but why go for touch screen when Logos is not optimised for it?
I don't have to have a touch screen, that is just what came up when I set the search filters to the specs that I wanted.
The specs look fine. I'd verify it to make sure it will do Windows 11 which seems likely. There's no reason to buy any machine you can't run for at least five years or so if it doesn't physically fall apart.

It really does make a huge, huge difference. I resisted for a long time (and still contend that Logos should run better than it does on a regular HDD) but am very glad I was able to get one recently. Really it makes everything better especially rebooting and restarting programs.
Thanks for all the replies!

My curren machine is touch screen and I use it to make up the screen with a third party app. F8 in Logos needs a lot of improvement. You can still use it for other programs that work well with touch screen 👍😁👌

My current machine…I use it to mark up the screen (screen draw).
It needed correction! Dictation doesn’t always work and didn’t have time to double check.

I have a touch screen with an old machine. My computer is 5 years old. I ungraded it to 16 gig dram, put in a SSD. Machine runs great. I have read a bit about this Optane memory. Its supposed to be super fast and if I understand the way intel make it work... it will greatly enhance the speed of things.
Your system that you mentioned should be great. I do encourage you to go ahead with the touch screen. I believe it's worth it.
just make sure it has a ssd. this one does.
