Did I just get downgraded?

I own the Logos resource “Foxe’s Book of Martyrs.” The resource ID is LLS:60.0.1. (I know this because I own digital “books” across several application libraries. I have an external database from which I search, select, and “launch” my desired resources causing them to open in their respective apps. With Logos resources I accomplish this by means of a shell script (imbedded in AppleScript) that acts upon the book’s unique resource ID. Hence, every Logos book in my database includes its resource ID.)

This past week “Foxe’s Book of Martyrs” was added to my Logos library from my now defunct WORDsearch library. It has the resource ID of LLS:WS_54636AED6D51426BB8470C09BF3E3C84. Now, trying to open my original Logos copy of this book yields the following: “This resource is no longer in your library.” I note, however, that it is now available for me to purchase on the website for $14.99.

So what difference does it make which “version” of Foxe’s that I have? Well, the original (LLS:60.0.1) is a Logos Research Edition while the one from WORDsearch (LLS:WS_54636AED6D51426BB8470C09BF3E3C84) is in the Ebook format.

So… Did I just get downgraded?

While I don’t think that this makes me a martyr… I am feeling a little bit persecuted. Wink

    This sounds very strange.

While you might receive some guidance in this forum you are probably best contacting Customer Services and asking them to look into this for you.

Their contact details are at https://www.logos.com/contact

    Larry,

I also received the Wordsearch download and am able to open both books. The one from Wordsearch is an ebook and the one from Logos, by Thomas Nelson, is the Research Edition.

So… Did I just get downgraded?

It does seem possible. I cross-posted in a WS-subforum thread to make Kyle aware of that issue.

Good catch.  I guess I'm in the same boat.  I wonder if all WS people were downgraded?

xn = Christan  man=man -- Acts 11:26 "....and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch".

Just to add my experience: I didn't come to Logos via WS but did have some WS resources. I got the WS version of Foxes on Wednesday. As I reported here, I did have, and still do have, the Logos version of this resource.
