First, I like to see where places are that I read about.

I go to Factbook, it offers some map options, but when I click on the maps, it doesn't show me where the place is. I often have to hunt for it and sometimes I just can't find it.. Is this a glitch or just me? I would think with all this tagging, I click on a map in Factbook, it would immediately open a map that clearly shows me where the place is.

Secondly, my default atlas is in German. I don't know why. I never prioritized an atlases.

I see in my library I have 24 atlases. Is there one that everybody recognizes as having the best maps that everybody in the know uses?

This is quite common, especially with the Atlas tool. The name could be hidden in a popup, or in text near the map

Logos Deluxe Map Set, ESV Study Bible, Holman QuickSource Guide (other Holman resources), and Carta resources.

I use the Maps search field in Media Search.

thanks for getting back to me. I don't notifications of people responding, so I didn't think to check back until now.

Do I just select one and prioritize it, and Factbook will use it?

Is there another way to, say, come across a place name and want to see just where it is, besides using factbook?

I don't see how to do a media search. The ways I thought I would be able to, I can't.

I see a media option in search now, but I don't see how to get it to search atlases.

In the media search panel, you can select to search your atlases using type:atlas in the resource dropdown menu. After using the type filter, select the number of resources just beneath it. And then run the search

Just search for Ephrathah. I don't have that resource, but I only got one result in Library (in Biblical Places Maps)! I couldn't find it there, but the Atlas section had a result that was hidden in a popup for Bethlehem.

Factbook gave an extra result for Ephratha and suggested Ephratah; Ephrath as alternatives. You will then get more results in Media Search, but the problem is that they could be the region near Bethlehem, or another name for Bethlehem!

I don't know if this helps but Genesis 35:19 (KJV) states: "And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Beth-lehem." Keep well Paul

Factbook suggests it is a region and when you zoom in far enough on map suggested by media section in the Logos Atlas the Region name shows on Map. Key is to zoom in with the Atlas tool. Often labels are not visible until you zoom.

Yes, but I was shown a different "Biblical World" than The life of Ruth, and I had to click on Bethlehem to see Ephrathah in the popup. Zooming did not reveal it.
