Questions about Definition Section of the Information panel for "acknowledge" in Prov 3:6
I clicked on the word acknowledge in Prov 3:6 (ESV) and this is the Definition section of my Information panel:
1. Why is God's Word translation used for the 1st brief definition? My settings (for Definition) default to Top Resource, but GW is WAY down the list (#13) as far as prioritized bibles. I'm quite surprised to see it included here.
When I open Settings for the Definition Section, I see there are several categories of definitions that can be shown.
2. I understand why Logos would allow users to select which resource to use for the Surface Text and the different Lemmas, but why the Strong's Number and the Louw-Nida? (And yes, I'm publicly acknowledging my ignorance of how these two resources are used within Logos by asking this question.)
Thanks for your help!

The definition is for prioritized english; not Bibles. God's Word has an english dictionary! I'm guessing the GW dictionary is taking priority over other english dictionaries (ie your Bibles are above your dictionaries)?

You may want to specify, for that particular Info-Panel .... a specific Strongs resource as an example. Also I like DBL (hebrew and greek) over Louw-Nida in some situations (but not having to re-prioritize). A final headache is that sometimes the Strongs number gets mixed up with the TWOT number.
If I understand your questions ...

An example?
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Denise is right, but you bibles should remain where they are in the Prioritization list else you will encounter more issues! As it is #13, GW would not be used much, so right-click and remove it from the list. If you still need it then check Advanced Prioritization, and set the first field to Bible.

Makes sense. Thanks!

I understand and knew that Bibles should be prioritized first. I also DO need GW in the list, even at #13, because of how I use the right and left arrow keys to go forward/backward in my list of Bibles (the remedy for losing the carousel in WORDsearch). So I did what you suggested using Advanced Prioritization and that took care of it. Now, the first definition is coming from the Eerdmans Dictionary of the Bible. Cool! Thanks! [Y]
