Layout doesn't scroll synchronously

I'm fairly new to Logos, having migrated from Wordsearch, but I've devoted a fair amount of time to setup. I have a saved layout with multiple Bible versions, and they are linked as a link set (an orange A shows in the tab for the layout window). But I can't get them to scroll synchronously.

What am I missing?

    Welcome Kathy,

A screenshot of your layout would help us. Upload via the paper-clip icon or the Amber icon on its right.

Here you go. You can see the asynchronous scrolling.

You are using Multiple Resources and they will only sync when you use the original or "master" bible i.e. NASB95. The other bibles allow you to explore other verses independently.  The link set A is not needed.

If you wish them to operate as you describe, open each bible into its own panel/tab and then link each bible to set A.

Thank you, Dave! I thought I must be missing some essential element. I'll try that.

Hi Kathy and welcome to Logos. I was a WS user for many years as well as a Logos user. One of the features that WS had was to be able to select a certain resource to drive the other linked resources, but allowed you to move around the other resources without impacting the one driving so to speak. That is how MultiView works.

For Bibles Dave's suggestion is best. however when wanting a commentary to follow a Bible often time Multiview will be better since many commentaries cover more that one verse at a time and this will allow you to study down the commentary without your Bible jumping all around.

Hope this provides you further assistance in using both linking and MultiView.

Thanks, John. I'll try that too.

John--I tried multiview, but it seems to behave the same way. That is, scrolling is synchronized only if I scroll in the master resource. And both appear pretty much the same, so I don't see much difference between multiview and layout. ??

I should add that I can live with that. As long as I know I have to scroll in the master resource, I can accomplish what I want. At this point, I'm more interested to know what the differences are between layout and multiview. :-)

With linking in the layout, every resource in the set will be sync'd when you scroll in one of them. With  Multiview, only the master affects sync.
