Smooth scrolling possible?
I find one of the more annoying things about Logos 9 desktop is that it scrolls multiple lines at a time. If I am using a particular bible, I can't scroll smoothly to the start of a verse. Rather it moves several lines at a time.
I have a Logitech MX mouse which does have a setting for smooth scrolling but it doesn't seem to work with Logos 9. I am running Logos 9 under Windows 10 Pro and have mouse scrolling set to one line at a time which also doesn't seem to affect Logos 9.
I can always enter the particular verse reference but using the mouse would be much better.
I know there is a program that one can purchase that should help with smooth scrolling but this seems to be something that the program should do. I noticed that someone asked for this back in 2010 and it seems odd that this still remains a problem.
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Forums Rod
There is usually somebody here that can help.
Might I suggest that as a first step you try opening your bible and trying this setting.
And report back on whether this helps with the scrolling issue.

Thanks, Mike! Not sure why my forum posts show up as zero. I have been using Logos for at least a dozen years and, while I am not super active on the forums anymore, I should have a couple of hundred posts showing.
I have been setting columns at "none" for a long time... scrolling is almost useless if you don't set it to "none"....the only thing that matters is faith working through love. (Ga 5:6 - NET)

That is usually a side-effect of changing ones email address?
I am sorry but Windows is beyond my ken. However there are still some Windows users around here anxious to help a fellow sufferer.
They will be along soon.

Have you tried clicking on the arrows at the top and bottom of the scroll bar? I find them useful when I need fine control.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

It is per resource, so it is worth double checking.
Have you checked to see if there is a link set active? If so, turn it off.
If neither are the issue, I would suggest trying a different mouse.

and have mouse scrolling set to one line at a time
This is the first thing I'd check... Seems to me that you wouldn't want one line at a time, but rather fractions of line at a time.

I've used a Logitech MX in the past on my Mac. I think I remember a setting in the Logitech control app that lets you "disconnect" the software from a particular app. That way the computer would handle all the mouse movements. l'm going on memory here, since I don't use the MX any longer.

This is a Windows 10 internal setting. You can choose one screen at a time or multiple lines at a time (1-x lines).
I assume you don't use Windows 10 as there is no option to go less than one line at a time.

Clicking on the arrows still moves multiple lines. As a result, if I want to get to a specific verse I have to enter that verse, i.e. John 3:3. I have no ability to simply move one line at a time. The software should allow one to do this but there is no control over scrolling in the software.
I consider this a design flaw.

I followed up with Logitech support and this is Logos issue. Logos overrides the Microsoft Windows 10 controls and also won't work with the Logitech software which allows smooth scrolling.
So... nothing can be done about this until Logos decides to fix the issue which was raised years ago.

As Mike said, this can happen after changing your login email address. I am sending you an email.

I am successfully smooth scrolling using a Logitech mouse (M720). I have found it to be possible only if I initiate smooth scrolling by clicking on the mouse's scroll wheel (i.e. push down on the wheel, not rolling/leaning it)--then moving the cursor up or down starts the scrolling in one direction or another. I am NOT using any Logitech driver software, just using the vanilla Microsoft-provided driver. As soon as you click (push down on) the scroll wheel, you'll see your cursor change. It's not a super-smooth scrolling effect like you see on web browsers, but it's pretty good. You can definitely use it to move text up and down by fractions of a line.
