Custom Milestone for Unpublished Chapter and Verse Markers

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to personally compile a set of new texts on the PBB with verses and chapter markers that can be referenced and found through the Verse Search Bar (My apologies if that's the wrong term, I am generally very new to this and don't remember it's technical name). As of yet, it appears that I can only reference materials already on the Faithlife Public Library and page numbers.

I have also found similar solutions such as using Heading 1, Heading 2, etc... but that can not be jumped to through the verse search bar.

Using page numbers to be searchable works, though it would be unideal, especially since the collection would include multiple books, also I wouldn't be able to use the verse numbers.

I apologize that this is an odd and specific question that likely doesn't have a solution due to it's peculiarity, but if there is one, this is my last resort at finding it.

God bless you all.

Welcome! [:)] I don't know if I have any answers for you, but it might be helpful to get some clarification:

I am trying to personally compile a set of new texts on the PBB with verses and chapter markers

You are referring to a Bible, correct? If not, more context is needed.

    Faithlife Public Library

    Verse Search Bar

My apologies if that's the wrong term

I am referring to a Bible which will be built, but the PBB will not be exclusively Canonical Scriptures (Ones that would be recognized as in the Bible by Logos) It will include a scripture which would not already be on the Logos Database/Library.

When I say Verse Search Bar I'm referring to this. (The part which has "Romans 5:1" in it)

As for the Faithlife Public Library, I am referring to this.

May I ask for examples - they may already have Logos milestone, just not Bible milestones.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

It is a new and unpublished revelation from within the past year, I don't believe it would already be on Logos. Since it is unpublished I'm not sure how I could show an example.

In this particular case you are out of luck - the user does not have the ability to create milestones.

    See https://wiki.logos.com/Personal_Books#Milestones  for formatting bible milestones  e.g. [[@Bible:Ro 5:1]] for Romans 5.1

Then there are different Bible Datatypes e.g. [[@BibleESV:Ro 5:1]]

If you have a Logos resource with the non-canonical scriptures, you can discover the datatype. But you cannot create a datatype.
