Must Reopen books to see new notes made in old note files.
I'm running Logos 9 Desktop (9.8.0.0004) on a Mac Mini (M1) and macOS 11.6. When I create a new note in one of my notebooks, the note reference or highlight isn't visible in the corresponding book until I reload the book.
I created a note in the NASB today by highlighting the words from a verse and then right-click, select New Note / OT Notes (file). This is a note file I created years ago. I then added my note. The image and hlghlight were correctly selected.
But the note wasn't visible until I closed the NASB and then reopened it. This problem also occurs with devotionals. Highlights seem to be visible without issue. But notes, especially notes created in these older notes files that I have been using for years, are not.
Did something change in Logos or in the macOS that makes this a requirement? It hasn't been that way in the past for me. I often add notes and they used to become visible in the corresponding book within seconds.

Well, after I refreshed the book, I added another note and all worked as expected. Maybe this bug only happens when I reopen Logos with the last-used layout. I have experienced this issue with the note not being visible a few times. But this is the first time I added a note after reloading the book.

So I tested further. I closed Logos. Restarted it and it defaults to the last used layout. I added a note anchored to a word in 2 Kings 6 of the NASB, right where I had been. After about 10 minutes that new note is not visible in the NASB. I see it in the note file, anchored to the words in the text, but I don't see the note in the NASB.
Then, I changed an anchor for the note I created earlier. It was updated in the text instantly. But the other note is still not visible. I clicked on each of the 8 tabs I had open in 2 windows and went back to the NASB and the note is still not visible. I'll either have to reload the NASB or close and re-open Logos to see it.
Let me know what else I can do to troubleshoot this. Am I the only person who experiences this behavior on a Mac running Logos 9 Desktop?

I have a couple of questions. Did you make the notes in the same notebook? Is the notebook for the first note turned on in the Visual Filter for the NASB? Do you have a lot of Visual Filters in the NASB? Can you provide a screen video recording? I'm trying to make sure I'm following the same steps you are.

To followup on Philana's request, Apple has a recording tool you can use as part of the operating system. This link navigates to an article on that tool. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208721

So, here's a link to the recording I just created.

Any update? I'm still adding notes and experiencing the same issues. Is there someplace where I can go and open a ticket, or is this it?

You can call customer service. The forums aren't a primary means of customer service from FL... although you did get two responses from them. As you can see by the delay in their response, it isn't an efficient means of communication with them.

Thanks. I sent an email to CS. I don't want to call. Much appreciated.
