BUG: Label attributes working as designed

Any time I start adding labels in any quantity I rediscover how obnoxious they are to enter and edit because the attribute list order is not fixed. You can be going along and 9 out of 10 times the entry you are using is at the top ... and then it isn't. It means you add an extra step of double checking the attribute name every time you enter one. This is not acceptable if you want the use of labels to expand.

A minor annoyance in comparison is that sometimes one must enter a space for the Bible reference value to appear to select as an attribute value; sometimes one doesn't ... it appears to be trying to determine on it's own if the reference has to be complete or if there is still some legal input, but it isn't doing so accurately.

    MJ,

I'm trying to reproduce this bug, but the desired attribute shows up for me. Can you do the following:

    • Provide a specific example of what attributes you are using, and how far much of the attribute you have typed in?
    • Where are you trying to enter the label (i.e. notes)?

If you are able to, a video screen recording would be helpful. For me, the same entry shows up at the top when I try to type it in.

These four attributes appear in different order when highlighting text, usually with Name first. When hovering the highlight, they consistently appear as Description, Name, Person, Reference!

In the Notes tool, they appear in the expected order (per screenshot) but that changes when you Edit the label.

This bug is independent of the label but requires the label to contain multiple attributes/properties. The more attributes the more likely it will appear frequently. It is more apparent when the attributes appear by default. I have typed nothing of the attribute value ... it is the attribute name itself which does not appear in a predictable order. It occurs when one is simply displaying the label values, editting the label, or entering a new label. It happens randomly - one may have it flip-flop every two or three instances or go 40 instances in the same order.

Thanks for the added info. We do have a case for this and I've added a link to this thread.
