No end to advertising emails?

Hi guys,
I will probably get roasted for this post, but I am becoming more and more frustrated with the sheer amount of emails advertising specials/discounts/new deals I receive in my inbox everyday. I did a quick count and I counted around 44 emails in the last 19 days.

I am a pro logos user. I have spend a huge amount of money on deals and on specials. The easy route is to unsubscribe from these mailing lists, but the thing is I want to know about new deals etc, but this is becoming a bit much. Would it be possible to have Faithlife combine these deal offers into a single email once per week, instead of 10-20 separate emails each week?

I receive more emails from Logos/Faithlife asking me to buy something than I get spam mail at the moment. Please consider adjusting your methodology regarding advertising deals via emails. I want to be notified of deals, but it really feels as if this is becoming a bit much.

I am feeling absolutely the same!

I enjoyed the „Tech Tips“ and learned a lot, but if I subscribe them I also get a huge amount of advertisement. So I was forced to cancel the tech tips in order to quite the advertisement mails. Very sad…

I totally agree that Faithlife/Logos' marketing team is overdoing their advertising to existing customers.

I did a quick search in my Gmail:
from:logos OR from:faithlife OR from:lexham

I received 105 messages from Faithlife in the last 30 days. Discounting 15 order receipts, that's exactly 3 per day on average.

Faithlife / Logos / Lexham, please do something to tone it down.

Agree! It would be nice if FL would offer a digest email option for these emails. Between the pop-ups on the website and a large number of advertising emails, it isn't a very enjoyable experience!

I receive more emails from Logos/Faithlife asking me to buy something than I get spam mail at the moment.

This is exactly the reason i unsubscribed from all emails from Logos. It means i didn't get the birthday gift in October for the first time ever. I hate not getting that, but it's worth giving up the $20 every year to not have my inbox overwhelmed for the constant number of emails i was getting from Logos every day. I've been using Logos since the mid 90's and have spent more than $10,000 on products/resources, but enough is enough.

Same here. I'd rather not miss a deal and I quickly delete anything that's not of interest.

I turned off Logos emails years back. I still get my Accordance emails. They turn out pretty good, not sure why. Seems maybe once or twice a week or so, and usually good deals too. Today's had a free Berean Study Bible with translator notes. I felt guilty, just choosing one item!

I too have felt annoyed by what's seemed to be an increased pace of FL emails in recent months. To verify my suspicion, I checked my inbox, and sure enough...

Jan - 49; Feb - 50; Mar - 58; Apr - 49; May - 45

Jul - 64; Aug - 67; Sep - 70; Oct (so far) 53 (on pace for mid-80s)

I don't think we would have to miss any offers were FL to combine offers into fewer total emails each week. As it is, the practice feels quite intrusive. I've thought about unsubscribing, but haven't yet.

I get hundreds of emails every single day. Once you learn a couple of tricks, you can funnel email from a given source into a folder or quickly grab them and delete what you don’t need.

True, but my point is that I think this can be handled better. Just to make the main arguments more clear:

1) I am not against receiving these emails from Faithlife. I like learning about new resources, or resources that are for sale, BUT
2) I think Faithlife could rather send 1 email per week highlighting the specials/advertisements/new products, instead of 5-10 different emails per week.

I share the frustration--I get more emails from Logos than any other source. And yes, they are often for products I already own or have pre-ordered. They've become so annoying that I've started deleting many of them without even checking to see the details.

I love the idea of a once-a-week email. I would be much more inclined to open a single email and scroll through it than to view the hoard of individual emails I currently get.

Faithlife, please provide a response.

Please make sure the once-a-week email doesn't come at 9am every Sunday (which is when the "Logos Tech Tip" emails are delivered every week... which pastor has time to read that?)

I understand, but do not share, this frustration. I have my FL account linked to a secondary email address I use for accounts and subscriptions, not the main one I use for correspondence. That way it doesn't constantly interrupt my day. I just take a glance at it once a week and open the ones that look interesting.

I don't mind all the mails in exchange for the sweet sweet $20 birthday certificate. I'm not a big purchaser, but every once in a while I pick up a title or two. In the end, it's probably a win for both FaithLife and me.
