How do I handle footnotes in a Personal Book?

I have a Word document that has a number of footnotes that show up at the end of most of its 12 pages. I'd love to create a personal book from this document in Logos.

How can I do this?

TIA!

Provided the footnotes are correctly formatted in Word as footnotes (and not just look like those when printed), just build the PB and they'll be Logos footnotes.

If they are not formatted as footnotes in Word, you will have to manually convert them to footnotes. This can be a long and tedious task. There are some macros people have written to perform this task (for example here), but you have to know what you're doing with macros to install and use them, and it's not guaranteed they would work seamlessly anyway. Even though I do know how to install and use Word macros, I prefer to do it manually myself to make sure every single one is accurate.

When I saw this I was hopeful that the footnotes were formatted correctly. Unfortunately, they aren't. It's a paper from Bill Mounce, and while he doesn't have a lot of footnotes in it, there are more than I want to deal with. So I'm just not going to bother with it.

But thanks for the info. At least now I know that I CAN create PBs from documents with PROPERLY formatted footnotes.

Thanks, Rosie. I barely get along with MS Word as it is, LOL! I surely don't want to attempt to use a macro. I have a background in IT and I am well aware of Murphy's Law: if it can go wrong, it will. But thanks for the reply. Turns out the footnotes in this doc were not properly formatted, so I'm just going to drop the idea of making it into a PB. It's just not that important to me.
