Change in Mac/Verbum 9.9 Beta 3

Prior to Beta 3 (and for years), tapping F5 while on the Home page would refresh the Home Page in place (ie however far down the page the location is). Now, when it refreshes, it moves the Home Page to the very top at the beginning of the Dashboard. I like to refresh when I am in the "Explore" section, but now I have to scroll back down from the Dashboard section whenever I hit F5. Please change it back!

Plus, if you leave Verbum open overnight, as many on a Mac do, because the date does not automatically change on the Home Screen you have to hit F5 there - and the Home page goes back to the top.

Any comment on this, can this be fixed the way it was?

Hi Pater,

I just tested this on Logos 9.9 RC 1 (macOS 12.01) and the F5 key works fine (I don't normally run Betas, so I can't comment on whether or not it worked on those). Does it work for you on Verbum 9.9 RC 1? If not, you might try restarting your computer and see if that helps.

It tried updating to RC, closed Verbum, shut down the Mac, restarted, and same thing happens.

1 had it open to the Home Page, scrolled down so that the scroll bar is halfway down the right side, and then I hit F5 (on my MacBook Pro with a Touchbar, I hit the 'fn' key to show function keys in the touch bar, then hit F5.) It refreshes the Home Page and resets the scroll bar to the very top of the page, in the Dashboard area.

I wonder if it's a Verbum bug not a Mac bug? Mine is an Intel MacBook Pro. Philana or anyone else, can you try this with Verbum on a Mac?

I am afraid I misunderstood what you were saying. Yes, when I hit F5, it refreshes and returns to the top of the homepage. So I see the same thing that you do.

Thanks Levi! This is new behavior, I hope it can be fixed it's annoying on a daily basis.

Is there more I need to do get get this bug resolved? It seems difficult to figure out what bug reports are noticed and which ones are not.

You can increase the chances of being noticed by using BUG as the first element of your title.
