Text comparison scaling issues
Beginning with 9.8 SR2 and continuing into 9.9 I have been seeing issues with the font scaling in the Text Comparison window. It seems to be triggered by the mouse pointer interacting with the window. Sometimes the window opens with normal text and sometimes it is way too large, while being wider than it is tall. Moving the mouse pointer in and out of the window sometimes triggers it but not always. Clicking the scrollbars will often trigger this issue as well. Most of the time the text is oversized and this makes it unusable, especially when the size changes and what you wanted to see moves off the edges.

Hi Troy

How odd! Please will you attach a screenshot of the miscreant panel using either the paperclip of the orange thing next to it in the tool bar. Cmd+Shift+5 is your friend on a Mac but there must be equivalents for other operating systems.
Technical folk might also like a look at your logs; harvested after the misbehaviour manifests. See my signature line for instructions.

The above pic was my first attempt to post one here. I wasn't sure how it would work out. So, for some context, both windows are set for the same size. If I move the mouse around it will go back to normal size, and then back to what is displayed again. If I try to scroll it then it stays at the weird size.

i.e. the font scaling bar in the Panel menu are set the same (see below)?
What is the effect of varying the scaling?
Does this problem arise if you switch out of Dark mode, or open it in a floating window?
Did this problem arise before you updated to Windows 11?
Tell us some more about your computer e.g. laptop or desktop with a separate mouse?

I tried different scaling options before making that screenshot. In the screenshot I matched it to the other window for comparison. As I scaled it up or down the problem persists but gets bigger or smaller accordingly.
Dark mode, light mode, floating window, I already tried them all, and they all produce the same result.
I have been using Windows 11 for several weeks, this problem just started this week. It could have been affected by the latest cumulative update but probably not Windows 11 itself.
Computer is a laptop, Alienware M17 R3, 4k screen. Default scaling is 250%, it would not be readable any smaller. At that scaling it pretty much mimics the size of a 1080p screen. Forcing it to use either the Intel or NVIDIA graphics produces the same result. Mouse is wireless. The situation toggles by the mouse moving in or out of the frame, clicking on the scrollbars, or clicking in the window, but not consistently.

Does this happen if you use the laptop's trackpad? Are the mouse/video drivers up to date?
Otherwise, I recommend you contact Customer Service via the Support menu at logos.com (Chat). Refer them to this thread.

Trackpad makes no difference. All drivers up to date and none of them have changed in several weeks. The window also flickers when the text change. I'll reach out to support. I was hoping someone else could duplicate this.

You got it, that was exactly it. I set an exclusion for Logos.exe in the BlackApps.dat file and that fixed it. Thanks, much appreciated.
