How to view only one portion of scripture

Hi there,

Occationally I would like to view a piece of scripture in isolation (kind of a mental focus thing).  By that, I mean if I typed in Luke 1:1-10, I would only want to see those 10 verses, without anything before or after.  Is there a way to accomplish this in Logos?

Thanks!

It's not great, but the only thing I can think of is to use "copy Bible verses."  If you make a short cut to the copy bible verses tool, then one click opens it up and you can view what verses you want.

You could use a milestone inline search for this: {Milestone <Luke 1:1–10>}. But, unfortunately, it's going to (a) highlight everything with hit highlighting and (b) divide the passage up into verses.

Alternatively, you could display the text in a Canvas document.

Sounds like a good enhancement idea, for Logos to make it easier to do this within the resource window.

You can do this in a competing Software but unfortunately FL have not seen to provide the ability to do this in Logos. Passage list visual filter is the most effective way to achieve this in Logos but not very efficient.

This is not a "top 10" feature request, but it does pop up (and has for many years).

    Is it somewhere on https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app?

Don’t know. I do not use feedbear.

Most likely never will be a top 10 request let alone prom king/queen of requests because it’a one of those things that should just be there as a way to view a specific  text. There a lot of features in Logos that didn’t need to be a Top 10 request for them to become a bread a butter part of the software. FL’s developers lack of vision on things like this that should already be a part of the software is why I am choosing to invest more in an alternative product that does things FL don’t get the need for them as basic functionality in Logos.

What would be your top bread & butter features? I am always curious what is essential to other people's Bible study practices.

Thank you all for the replies and information!  I appreciate it.
