Timeline issues - Date of writing of Corinthian epistles
The date of writing of Corinthian epistles does not look correct here.
Or am I missing something?
Thanx,

Many of the commentaries give complex timings and compositional theories, especially as to the composition of the 2nd Corinthians (exegetes seem to love them):
Letter A (which st. Paul refers to in 1 Corinthians 5:9, now lost), letter B (the one we know as 1st Corinthians), Letter C ("the letter of tears", which Paul maybe referring to in 2 Corinthians 2: 4 and 2 Corinthians 7: 8), Letter D (2 Corinthians 1-10) and Letter E (2 Corinthians 10-13).
I guess the timeline reflects that ambiguity. Not sure, though...[*-)]
If I'm correct, I'm not going to start an argument, but rather I refer you to Victor Paul Furnish's AYB Commentary, where he discusses the question of literary integrity, a two-letter hypothesis, chapters 1-9 in 2nd Corinthians as Letter D, chapters 10-13 in 2nd Corinthians as Letter E.

I realize there are many theories as to when they were written. My point is the timeline suggests 2Cor written before 1 Cor.
The above link reveals this was pointed out in April when it was witnessed it had been that way for years.
Is there coming a time when the value of the timeline will cause it to be fixed?
It is often true "timing is everything"
A sequence of events can reveal much.

apparently I have some different resources that map to the Timeline. I suggest clicking on the date to get the pop-up which shows which resources report each date. Interesting that both the early and late date BOTH have 2nd before 1st [:O]
